Everyone is smart in his or her own particular way but finding out what your areas of strengths are is not an easy task. My granny once told me that she felt that she was going nowhere in life. With low grades at school it was harder for her to be accepted in University. Struggling with her last year she graduated from Spellman but she did not now what her next step would be. She was the quintessential example of a perfect athlete but at Spellman that wasn't recognized. Now she owns her own gym and trains professional athletes for races. My strengths include nature smarts and body smarts, while an area I hope to improve is in becoming more successful in word smart. Through this process I hope to achieve my goal.

Being surrounded by nature is a gift from god. I feel comfortable in and thrive in natural settings. Breathing the fresh air that nature offers is delightfully. I am crazy to walk in the mountains and explore our world. I was recently climbing the Pasochoa with my father and I thought to myself that it is the best place ever. Surrounded by the opulence of flowers, trees, birds every aspect that nature offers fills my soul with new fresh bright ideas. Listening to the silence of the jungle is relaxing; it is as if all of my problems would vanish away with the sound of the wind. Having strength in these intelligences helps me express myself through other aspects of our world. A way in which I could improve being more nature smart according to the Intelligences Book is by "planting something and watch it grow." (Armstrong, 2003) This step can help in the development of becoming more nature smart because you connect more personally with our surrounding.

When reading the characteristics of the kinds of intelligences I found out that I am body smart. According to the book You're Smarter than You Think (Armstrong, 2003) it is because "I am skilled at sports, I enjoy being on the go, running, jumping and moving." When I feel stress all I want is to perform any kind of physically activity; running, biking or even walking can help me clear my mind. My body asks for physical activity, I feel full of energy and as a result I fill alive. Outdoor sports are the best therapy for me because it clears my mind, and I connect with my surrounding; I try to implement body smarts with nature smart. I greatly admire athletes, they are always persistent and try to pursue their dream; I consider them role models for my life. In my desire to become more body smart, I will "use more gestures when expressing myself" (Armstrong, 2003). I believe that this will help me become more body smart because I take closer control over my body.

I greatly admire word smart people, they have that ability to express themselves on words, paper and verbally. Having the capability to conceptualize ideas in an organized way, containing the gift to argue they make words flow through their mouths in an easy and clean way. They also have the skill to avoid wordiness and in this way entertain, persuade and instruct in an effective way in a speech. The world should have more word smart people that persuade other people to engage in activities, studies, investigations, explorations and concepts. Martin Luther King is the quintessential example of a word smart person he has inspired generations around the world. His speech blowed everyones mind, the way he connected with his people was amazing he demonstrated most of the qualities of a word smart person. Being word smart is a cultural theme, for without it we would lack the abillity to communicate in an effective way. A way in which I could become more word smart according to the book You're Smarter than You Think "is reading about what interests me" (Armstrong,2003). This is a fantastic option that everyone should take in account because when reading about something of interest you it will easily catch you attention and in that way one will become more word smart.

Having fortitude in being nature smart and body smart can help me become a more rounded individual. Writing this essay made me realize that people do not necessarily need to be excellent in math, science, English, Spanish etc. There are different kinds of smartness, and every individual in the world has the capacity of being smart in a certain area. The earth that we live in is fantastic, and the impetus that I have for preserving it will continue till the day I die. Having a healthy body is having a healthy mind, and for me these aspects are important, which is why I have all the intentions of preserving and improving my smartness. Becoming more word smart is my next goal I want to be able to persuade people through speeches convincing them to become better individuals.

.... guess it's a type :D

Everyone is smart in his or her own particular way but finding out what your areas of strengths are is not an easy task. My granny once told me that she felt that she was going nowhere in life. Okkkk.... why did you insert your granny's experience in this? What was the purpose? The answer to that question is not clear for us. What I mean is that there is no harm in talking about her, but you should link that to your next idea. You tell her story to us and then get away from it without setting up any connection to your next idea. Ask yourself why you wanted to have her there and tell that purpose to the reader.
