Earth Nature and My Internship in Germany

I am applying for a cross cultural exchange program in Germany. I am required to write a letter of motivation describing my reasons to apply for an internship in Germany,my expectations(experiences and learning) and the period suitable for participation.

My love for the nature stems from my early childhood. I am grown up helping, my grandmother alongside my mother, in growing vegetables in the back garden of my house. I remember how I used to climb on fruit trees to harvest fresh produce of oranges, guavas, mangoes etc. I remember working with my mother in my front garden and witnessing it turning into an oasis with flowers of bright colors and sweet odor. I remember visiting my native village and taking care of goats, cows and horses being kept by uncle which shows my profound love for animals. I am very fond of spending time outdoors and doing adventure sports. I love travelling with my friends and family to see scenic places in the northern area of Pakistan. While I was in university, I actively participated and volunteered in various societies. I was one of the founders and active members of Green society and participated in various eco-activities organized by the society. I was selected as student Ambassador for WWF- Pakistan in my university. My passion to protect the environment has made me a truly a green person at heart. I feel enthusiastic and intrinsically motivated when it comes to working for betterment of environment.

I have recently graduated from Mirpur university of science and technology after completing my degree in business administration. In near future, I am planning to pursue a degree in sustainable development or sustainability management from a foreign university. Currently I am working with WWF Pakistan in youth development programme. The aim of the programme to create awareness and educate the youth of Pakistan regarding the environmental challenges and their possible solutions through various learning interventions. I feel pride in the fact when I tell other people that I am working with WWF Pakistan and my job is to save the planet earth.

I am willing to apply for this internship in Germany because Germany is a world leader in environmental protection and a pioneer in the development of renewable energy. Environmental and climate protection is a top priority in Germany. Among the industrialized nations of the world, German economy is the greenest and the most environment friendly. Germans are following a strategy of merging economic development with the environment protection thus leading a path of sustainable development. Germany has a dominant market share in various green technologies as well as a substantial part of its work force is employed in the environmental sector. Meanwhile greenhouse gas emissions have fallen significantly, successfully decoupling the economic growth with Germany's environmental footprint.

I will gain a number of benefits by participating in an internship in Germany. This internship will be a career-building experience and be another milestone towards my dream job. Owing to the lack of such opportunities in my home country, it will provide me a chance to acquire valuable expertise, build my resume and gain training in the field of my choice. The internship will offer hands-on international experience by working in an applied setting in Germany providing endless learning and training opportunities as an aspirant in the field of sustainable development.

Besides developing professional competencies, this exchange programme is an excellent opportunity for me to have a life changing cultural experience. It is a unique opportunity for me to live in another country and indulge myself in a different culture and language. I am excited to meet people from various nationalities, cultures and also with different lifestyles and points of view. Living, working and having fun with my coworkers and participants of this programme from other Muslim countries would broaden my horizon and enable me to build a strong social network thus helping me to feel myself member of a global community. During my stay in Germany, one of my desires as representative of Pakistan, is to break stereotypes about my country. It will help me to portray a true image of Pakistan to the world.

The essay as a whole is very good, but I find this paragraph quite redundant. Maybe you could try to change some of the "Germany"s?

Saim since you completed a degree in Business Administration, there is no clear connection between the environmental studies that you wish to pursue and your profession. As a reviewer for this scholarship foundation, I will not be confident in the knowledge that you do not have any environmental background in terms of academic preparation. So, it would be best if you omit mentioning your college degree for the time being. Instead, focus your discussion on your work with the WWF and other environmental programs that you can mention as part of your proper qualifications.

Next, there is no set time frame for your completion of this course as indicated in your instructions. The best way to discuss the time frame would be to present your environmental ideas in relation to the education you hope to receive and then explain the number of years required to complete the academic training as per the university guidelines.
