Mostly I used my previous professional network to get more information how develop new system, the way to deal with third party. Also from my previous colleagues, I got contact link to the government for fulfill legal permit and extended license. I remember when I went to the Ministry of Investment office for register "Master List" (one of investment facility from Indonesia Government to obtaining exemptions from Import Duty, Value Added Tax and Income Taxes on Imported Goods) project for my company, my connection from previous workmate help me opened access to person in charge directly. As result, I have direct connected to person who is handling of "Master List", guide me how to process in system then I got the "Master List" fast and smoothly. I do not need to pay an independent agent for intermediary or wasting my time in my own trial for entry in the system, my job become effective, and to be sure comply with government policy.
Other moment in my previous workplace, I ever elected to be Indonesia delegation in Global Enterprise Resource Planning (GERP) training held by Group Global in Seoul, South Korea. Joining in international event was great moment, I was able to connect and engage with participant from other countries. In breakthrough season, we make small discussion, each member should share unique activities or ongoing project that have impact into corporate as well. I share how I struggle to visit customer in remote area and how implement delivery system to many islands, it's great forum and moment to do best practice when we were back in the organization.
I strongly believe that through these experiences will give me a chance to explore my ability to support Chevening goals and objectives, as a huge alumni I able to explore more communication with different character of people and different background. I do believe I can contribute in volunteering events like becoming partner in transformational leader for future collaboration with local University that was done and be regular event by Chevening Alumni Association Indonesia (CAAI) programs.
