I am writing to express my deep desire for extending my educational background so as to increase my knowledge and capability by academic exploration in the field of Software Engineering and Applications Development.

Software development is an area that I have a lot of interest in and as such have developed deep passion for. My passion for software development can be can evidenced from my work history which has provided me with a variety skills that have enabled me to comprehend and handle issues in design and implementation of different kinds of applications. With this I have developed confidence in java and c # develelopment languages which I have used to develop web based and mobile applications.

I consider myself as a passionate, reliable and results oriented worker in this field of applications developed. I attribute this confidence to the results (XXX grade) I obtained at XXX where I was awarded an undergraduate degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.

Since leaving University two years ago, I have deepened my experience in software development while working as a software developer at a government funded organization called XXXX. I have mostly worked on developing mobile applications that support and enhance service delivery in government hospitals and the general security of the IICS project.

My dream is to contribute pronounced solutions to my country XXX, a developing third world Country with countless challenges by developing automated system to help improve service delivery. It is my desire to contribute to this wherever I can with the knowledge I will get from my studies, research and experience when I am given the scholarship

Ivan, your essay is quite dry and not very informative in terms of how the scholarship can help you. It lacks a sense of passion about your chosen profession that goes far beyond your academic accomplishments, which by the way, you need to elaborate upon. By showing your academic prowess and mentioning any awards or honors that you received as a student, you will be able to inform the scholarship reviewers regarding your potential as a student.

Are you familiar with the background of the scholarship foundation and what their requirements are? You eed to make sure that you mention facts in your scholarship essay about yourself that will adhere to their requirements for scholarship candidates. Sharing the same mission and vision as the scholarship will help your essay improve content-wise and allow you present a positive image that will be impressive to the committee upon further review of your application.

Be sure to discuss how their scholarship program will be able to specifically help you achieve your dreams and goals in life. Relate these goals and dreams to how you plan on repaying the scholarship in kind either by giving time to volunteer for some foundation activities or promoting the scholarship foundation during your time as a student and/or professional. By showing that you are civic minded, you will be able to prove that you are not just after a free ride towards another degree but you have intentions of paying it forward when given the opportunity to do so.
