Help me to read and give me any recommendation.

study, life, work in Japan

The main aim of my further study in Kyoto Institute of Technology is pursuing Master of Functional Chemistry. Due to my background in Biotechnology with the academic knowledge that I acquired as an undergraduate, I would like to continue my way to be a scientist with my love, my passion and enthusiasm to contribute to my home country.

This Master's program offers students not only academic knowledge but also practical skills related to life sciences. With the scientific experience since 1970s, Kyoto Institute of Technology has been reported a huge valuable research which aiming the goal for development of our society.

In my further study I would like to study in-depth bacteriophage combined with Vietnamese traditional plant extracts which is desired more effective in controlling infectious diseases especially in aquaculture - one of the most economic income of Mekong Delta, Vietnam. During my undergraduate period, I had two-year experience handling with bacteriophage which were isolated from soil samples, I had two main research: graduation thesis which obtained six strains of phages from Ming aralia's soil and the research isolated 12 phage strains from Ginger and Curcumin's soil which help me to achieve the Third prize in Competition for Young Scientist hold by Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology. Those studies contribute to the strategy of biocontrol management to Ralstonia solanacearum. I had an opportunity three-month intern working in Biofunctional Chemistry laboratory which improved my specific skills in this field and how well the facilities in laboratory help the study accurately and smoothly. Kyoto Institute of Technology is a great school for me to pursue Master's degree for several reasons. First of all, the lecture would be given by experienced professors help international students easier to approach knowledge. Secondly, working environment is specific for each field with variety laboratories covering many scientific aspects from biology, chemistry to engineering. Thirdly, professors in KIT are not only very excellent in scientific academy but also enthusiasm in instructing students with their heart and ability. Finally, officers in KIT are willing to help International students and bring students warm feeling when they need help.

Research during my Master's degree reach my long-term goal to be a scientist due to my love to science, and this is a great chance for me approach my goal. Study in Japan will improve my academic knowledge and specific skills. After completion, I could apply what I have learned to solve problems in aquaculture production including environmental pollution and human heath which reach the aim of sustainable development in Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

Furthermore, Japanese culture attract me by Japanese working styles, regulation and punctual to their work. Besides, English is essential to pursing further study I have learned Japanese and got N5 certificate in JLPT examination. Although it is not a high achievement in a language, it inspiresme to study Japanesein future and more helpful to live in Japan.

Hi Han? May I know if this essay for Statement of Purpose or Personal Statement? What is the limit of maximum and minimum of this application? In my opinion you have mentioned well about your previous degree match with the program you choose, but I think you have to tell the reviewer about the university, why you choose that university. Such as what the difference between this university than others? maybe about the teacher or program they offer

Thank you very much for your ideas. Actually, this is my Statement of Purpose but no limit is required. This is my study plan because they ask "Study program in Japan: (Describe in detail and with specifics - particularly concerning the ultimate goal(s) of your research in Japan)". I will add information that you have mentioned. Thank you.

Han, do not follow the advice given above. That is irrelevant to a Study plan. A study plan is not the same as a personal statement. I repeat, the advice given above is not applicable to a study plan. you should not use it in your Study plan essay. You also got confused between a study plan and a statement of purpose. A statement of purpose is an undergraduate and professional biography that indicates the purpose of your study, the training you have in relation to that purpose, and your mid-range career plans along with an explanation of why you chose the university for your studies. A study plan focuses only on the expected academic pursuit of the student in relation to his chosen course and how the university will be able to help achieve you achieve those goals.

Based on what you have written, paragraph 3 is the only usable and fully focused paragraph supporting your study plan. There are several reference sentences you have to omit due to irrelevance to a study plan though. Refer to the markings below to have an indicator of where to start and end the deletion process for paragraph 3:

Kyoto Institute of Technology is a great school for me to pursue Master's degree for several reasons [..].

Instead, start a new paragraph that indicates the continuing research you hope to do at Kyoto University. Indicate your possible thesis statement, research methodology, and projected outcome. After that presentation, begin a new paragraph. This time, discuss the facilities at the university that you hope to use, any professors whose research might be related to your own whom you wish to join with in terms of research, internship or practical training programs the university offers that will help you further expose yourself to this field of research, and finally, how you hope this research can assist in expanding the research knowledge and authority of Kyoto University in relation to this research. That is how a study plan is written. Everything else in your essay is not required information and belongs in other essay presentations that come with this application.
