The aim of life

Have you ever thought "why are we here, in this world?". I am so tired, I do not want to continue my life because I cannot find any reason for living :(((((

H, Ahmad.
How old are you?
You are tired of what exactly?
You and I are on this world to live. Yeah, that's obvious. Different people have different reason to live and different "meanings" of life. personally, I live for the sake of human reproduction...he he...

I'm 27. I am a hard working person, but sometimes you cannot change your life. This is my destiny and I cannot change it.

Are you planning to study abroad but do not have enough money? or what? Tell me more.)
You are talking about destiny and the inability to change it. You sound like a fatalist; snap all the worst thoughts in your mind. I don't know exact circumstances that made you to think so, but you must struggle against odds, believe and hope, not in God, but yourself.

I might not know all difficulties that you are experiencing, but i know the feeling when everything seems so cr*py, when future seems uncertain.

Know this, i'll hope for you.)

Thank you for your great words. I had a hard life, full of difficulties. I tried to make my life better, but nothing was changed. What do you feel when you work hard, but nothing is obtained. This is so sad. When I look at all the things that I did for a better life, it makes me disappointed since I could not achieve a considerable thing.
KhanhZ 5 / 131
Jul 10, 2012   #6
Be more specific. what is your exact aim?
You are 27 and had "a life full of difficulties". You know, there people with the same problems, but they wind up even in worse situations, they become alcoholics, drug addicts etc, But look at yourself: (as I read from your profile) you study in a university. I think that is worth some of your pride. Don't diminish your efforts, please.)) (If you told me more, maybe I would be able to persuade you better.)

I think I need to get some rest. May be I should travel to a place to put my mind in peace. U know, I work hard all days from 7AM to 7 PM without any free time. I think this is the reason why I cannot think positively, I am tired :(. What do you think?
KhanhZ 5 / 131
Jul 10, 2012   #8
Maybe that could be the case. Do you do any sports? I practice karate and that helps very well to ease the tension, I get home tired but relaxed. So yeah relax a bit. And please never ever think of your life that way.))

And I see you are a contributor on this forum, helping others, while ,as you say, working like a madman. Another point to be proud off.

ah 'chuckle'...I'm just 16. and I'm planning to take psychology as a major, but eventually I want to become an attorney.
You're flattering me.)

wow, you are too young. I wish u luck. U know, sometimes the hard conditions in life may become intolerable, sometimes you may want to escape from what you really are. I am a human, and just like other people I have some good days and some bad days. But, the fact is that the world is turning and we should live, as u said.

Thanks, I haven't experienced the need to earn money desperately like you( probably from a young age), but i have other "intolerable" issue.

Anyway, good luck with letting steam off))

U talked about MONEY. Money is everything my friend. "Money talks B.S walks", I really agree with this statement. Without money you have nothing: no friend, no relationship, no respect, no FUTURE. This is the real meaning of this ridiculous world. Nobody considers your abilities, the only important thing is Money. I heard a song in Farsi that I translated it as follows:

"The world is turning not because of gravity, but this is money that causes the earth's rotation" :))
KhanhZ 5 / 131
Jul 11, 2012   #16
No, you are still too pessimistic. i have heard so much of this "money rules the world". Yeah, there is some truth to it. But NEVER use such idea as an excuse to surrender.

What you buy with money is not true friendship, but loyalty based on obligation; not love, but an self-suggested feeling thrust on expected benefit.
Are you kidding me? Do you think that all successful people were born with large heritages? Damn, NO! Quite many of them had troubled backgrounds. Take Oprah Winfrey. She was so poor she even made clothes from potato sacks when she was a kid; she was sexually abused and even born a child at the age of 14. I don't need to tell you who she is now.

Will rotates earth. Remember.
If you were an old man that fought relentlessly for a better life and yet couldn't achieve it, you would have a right to complain. But you are 27 and you still have your life. Quit whining and keep working. I believe you will succeed))

I don't want to sound harsh. I'm young and I never experienced the same problems as you are facing -- I just want you to believe in your abilities and not allow yourself to indulge in pathetic thoughts).

and could you read my essay and give me some feedback?:) especially I don't know what to do with the over-limit problem.

I studied for all my life. In fact, I invested my life in studying. I could get an M.Sc degree two years ago and I could publish several articles in the journals with good reputation. When I publish a paper it makes me happy, but u cannot live with such things. I think what I did in my life was wasting time, and what I could achieve was useless.
KhanhZ 5 / 131
Jul 11, 2012   #20
Why didn't you pursue M. Sc degree? And if you have such talent and affinity for doing research and other scientific stuff, why don't you try emigrating. There is a high job outlook for scientific researchers in developed countries.

I am waiting for the outcomes of the universities that I applied for. I hope to get admissions in the near future. However, getting visa is another story. These days getting visa, especially for Iranian, has become too hard.

Of course USA might be out of reach, but I think New Zealand , Japan , South Korea are some of the options available for you. If you are good enough you may earn decently in those countries

The meaning of living is to try to achieve what you can during that life.

You say you don't got any reason to live, dont think of the negatives think of the positives.
Everytime there is a problem their are opportunitys.

Yes it is difficult question. when in your life, everything and every day are the same, you get bored and ask from yourself "why I am living in this world" We work and earn money then we spend them by time of resting and it is unchanged. So I agree with statements(above) , not only you, we all should try to make our life interesting and be happy.

THE ANSWER: Don't be fixated on your failures. You learn from them, you carry on.( how much do I need to tell you it?)

Ahmad, there is nothing left to talk about in this thread. You either do what we suggested or do whatever you want. The choice is ultimately yours.

Hi,

Well sometimes I just ask myself this question: "what am I living for? A better future? But what if one day all human beings disappear, then what's the point?"

Crazy, right? :))

I wouldn't tell you to keep working or anything, because everyone gets tired and needs a break right? If you're tired of your job or whatever you're doing or whatever that upsets you, quit it! Go somewhere really far from your home, meet new people, experience a different culture, refresh your mind. Then come back, new and improved! Go for sth you really love, and enjoy every bit of it.

And don't be so pessimistic. Life's got so much to offer. I know I'm not old enough to talk as if I know it all, but I think life would be much happier and less tiring if we could stop worrying about money. Yes, it is indispensable, but we'll spend all of it one day, so why not just enjoy the present with people you love? Trust me, it feels wayyy better to spend time with your loved ones and forget about the rest of the world!

Wish you all the best, Ahmad! Success will come to people who believe they can, let alone one as talented as you!

Oh and again, trust me, there's no such thing called destiny. Don't believe it, sth that people make up as the last resort to their inability to feel satisfied with what they have.

Go, Ahmad!

Thank you very much Thao. Just like other posts, these words give me positive energy. I try to keep going. I try my friend with all my soul. I know that we are here to fight against difficulties and barriers that we may face. I can do that, as I could prove it to myself by reviewing my past and the hard conditions that I could pass. I hope to maintain this positive thoughts in my mind for a long time :))

Hello everyone
I believe a sentence which always help me to be alive and also give me a positive energy. I hope I could write that in English well.

" Don't wait for Happiness to laugh, maybe Happiness is waiting for your laugh"

if you think that Future will be the best, you probably lose Now. So, you don't reach to happiness never.

Good Luck.

Life is the name of continuous struggle and without an aim or setting a goal we cannot lead a happy life.Life becomes meaningless without ambitions. If you cannot live for yourself live for others. This is how long-lasting happiness comes in our lives.

hey, the aim of life. well we have the temptation of trying for the bests, getting the world a better place to live, and helping others. i was actually impressed by how you had helped amin, and then me. I thought you must be older like above 60s that you have so much time and energy to read essays haha. when i came here and read that you are 27 i was like you must be kidding me! i wanted to thank you in the first place, but then i came to your threats to see if i can be helpful. so if you needed help, anytime just let me know, i come from where you come from, so we gotta help eachother cz it's a rule in life, and a desire.

i'm not gonna talk too much cz i'm afraid you're gonna edit what i'm writing now with the red scary color. smile cz there are still ones who care.
