Association with every aspect of life; Objective of pursing Civil Engineering

I am confused with the starting of my Objective of pursuing course.Need comments and suggestions.Thanks in advance friends.

My interest in civil engineering germinated watching my father's extraordinary feats in this field and then increased gradually substantiating the fact that civil engineers are intimately associated with nearly every aspect of our lives. Civil engineers has not only contributed to the development of modern civilization but also committed to fulfill unprecedented future demands for energy, land, water, transportation, materials, waste disposal, health care, environmental cleanup, and infrastructure . For these reasons I am tremendously interested in this field and I always see myself among those civil engineers who will contribute to shape the future world and make a difference to people's lives.

I do not have much of experience in writing statement of purpose (SOP) and maybe the other members will give better assist. However, I can give you a hint in how to start your SOP. Bring a scartch of paper and start writing your main ideas. These ideas have to be convincing to the reader that you're qualified for the Civil Engineering course.

When writing your ideas take into account these points:
1- Do NOT care about the writing order of the ideas, leave it for later. So any idea comes to you write it down on the paper.

2- In the beginning start with a phrase or two for any idea make it as short as possible. You MUST write ALL your ideas in the first draft, to save the time arranging your statement.

3- List your short and long-run goals for pursuing Civil Engineering.
4- Focus in your strength points, what do you've that most don't? (of course, with whom you share the same qualifications)
5- Strengthen your ideas with good examples that you have experienced. (work experience, school projects, etc)
6- Any awards, achievements or memberships.
7- What makes you interested in Civil Enginering. And what is your motivations to pursue Civil Engineering (your example of your father is one them, is there another and better motivation?)

8- Now take all these points and arrange it in order, by expanding every idea in one paragraph or combine 2 ideas in paragraph. Or you may split an idea and write about it in separate paragraphs.

Thanks a lot Ibraheem.I have already written a draft sop.Like always I am confused with my starting. Do my sentences make proper sense?Is there any grammatical mistake?Do you think this paragraph is good enough as an introduction?

by the way, when wrote your statement did you follow similar technique as the one I talked about?
