Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. While searching for samples of motivation letters, I came across many threads on this forum regarding this issue.
I am an Egyptian student, and this scholarship is so important for me because I can no longer complete my studies in Damanhour University .
In the ranking criteria of these scholarships, the motivation letter has 20% of the application grading scheme. For this reason I need to make it as good as possible. Unfortunately I am new to writing this kind of letters, so I hope for some help.
Dear, Medastar
I am applying to your Erasmus Mundus Scholarship , Medastar Programme of "Chemistry and Biotechnology " with specialization in "Biotechnology Science" starting in September 2013.I wish in particular to be trained at an advanced level in various applied Biochemistry fields. My ultimate goal is to become an expert researcher in Cancer biochemical therapy. I believe that advanced training in an undergraduate program of good quality will help me to realize my dream.
Having enjoyed doing chemistry and biology right since high school, I succeeded in the science entrance examinations and established myself as one amongst the top students of the nation and continued my academic career with the study of "chemistry and micro biology" at Damanhour University. In the pursuit of knowledge, I have always adopted a rigorous approach in order to attain an in-depth understanding of the subject at hand. This is amply reflected in my consistent academic career, always coming in with the top students in my class.
Within my undergraduate years I was fascinated with subjects such as extract vaccines from the bacteria. Besides courses listed on my transcript, I did a lot of experiments related to these courses. My major project in undergraduate study proposed using derivatives of chitosan biopolymer in cancer therapy.
My reason for this choice of program is that it has a direct relation with human health and curing of cancer, which is in line with my career goals, to improve human health by regulating the use of all forms of chemicals commonly used. Together with collaborating institutions, we can work towards a toxic-free future that causes cancer.
This program interests me most because at the end of the program, I will be able to produce biochemical medicine, remove toxicological, physical and reactivity hazards of chemical substances. It also Provide professionals with all the tools and knowledge needed from the scientific, the regulatory and the economic point of view to manage the risks of chemicals responsibly.
For me to achieve my career goals, I need to focus on short term activities which include learning, training, and developing related skills, practice skills and get experience in the field of chemical innovation and regulation. All these can only be achieved by embarking on this program.
I am dynamic, easily adaptable, purpose driven with high communication and interactive skills. I love to handle problems from their roots.
European universities hold a good international reputation and Europe is the birthplace of 'Western' culture, Europe has a long history of pioneering higher education, and lays claim to many of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world.
It has always been my dream to pursue studies in Europe and because Europe is the site of Excellence, I strived for the best academic results while in my home university.
I come from a well cultured family and multicultural Country, Egypt; I see no family/cultural barriers that can hinder my ambitions while in Europe.
Sincerely,
Abdelwahed Elshopaky
