"Debating is addictive" - The Short Answer

Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences! (150 words or fewer)

Debating is undoubtedly addictive. I always feel great to greet the members of the House and to open the case. I feel a fun excitement as I read my little notes and try to keep loose yet organized speech. I am always curious in attempting to guess the adjudicators' expression. What are they thinking when they smile? Hearing a smart argument or laughing at a foolish statement? But then, when I finish my speech and go back to my chair, I would not care about it anymore. My next focus is to listen to my adversaries, trying to catch even their smallest mistakes. When I find what I look for, I would smile and write my points of rebuttals hastily. Although winning is good to be heard, losing is not that bad. I would always pat my team mate's back and say, "Nice to work with you!"

What do you think about this essay?
Please help me to correct the grammatical mistakes and contents

This is great stuff...
Teammate can be written as one word, and I think that is the better way.

Hey, this is impressive, because it shows how experienced you are: "trying to catch even their smallest mistakes."
However, that is only half the challenge. The other half of the challenge is to notice what the opponent is right about. By acknowledging what she is right about, you gain credibility with the audience and with her (the opponent).

I think the essay is high quality. How is debate related to the career you envision for yourself?
