The idea of favorable and unfavorable sides of being an employee or a business person contributes to a lot of things to discuss. Bearing this in one's mind, turned an individual particularly a newly graduate to pay attention about making the decision of which path in the career world to enter. Likewise, going through this contemplation would prevent someone from being trapped in a situation that could only waste money and effort.

The employee is an individual who works for someone whom usually called a boss in a company. One could be either a regular or part-time employee as long as he is working under the management of a person with higher position and the one who started and profited the business. An entrepreneur, on the other hand, is a person who could be the boss himself and alternately known as a businessperson. In connection with these professions, people who are looking for career must choose to be one of these. There are many advantages of being an employee. First, there will be a financial stability as the salary goes into one's account regularly every 15th or 30th day of the month even though a person did not work for one month probably because of the ailment or the time was spent for vacation. Paid non-working days are one of the benefits in a company. Second, aside from the paid sick-leave and vacation, there will be health benefits and insurance. Third, bonuses such as during holidays and in time of success the company might get in a year. Last reason but not limited to this is constant, fixed schedules and work ranges making it profitable to persons who want a structured daily activities. However, being an entrepreneur also bear good points such as flexibility of schedules and independence. Wherein, one could be the boss, the manager, and the decision-maker. There's no one who could fire him. Moreover, risk-takers individuals can enjoy the challenge of plan-making, development and realization of one's business. There will also be high salary potential unlike the fixed earnings of an employee.

However, working as an employee possessed drawbacks as well. One could be forced to work on a constant schedule as the company required an exact number of working hours. An individual will also experience boredom, pressure and stress at work because of having co-workers with the same or higher potentials and capacities. One may also feel of being uncompensated enough for the work he has done. Comparatively, being an entrepreneur is not all good most of the time.. One may experience a high level of stress and days of having headache since he is the one who solely makes the decision, planning, budgeting as well as marketing strategies to make one's business successful and profitable. A person might also spend longer than the required duration of work just to meet the deadlines. Not only that, starting a business may consume a large amount of money that will make a person temporarily unstable in terms of financial matters. Furthermore, maintaining self-motivation and optimism despite of uncounted pitfalls and drawbacks as well as incidences of quick decision making all required lots of effort from an entrepreneur.

In conclusion, it still depends on the personality, capacity and experiences of an individual on how he can achieve the success in the field he chose as his career. Although, a risk-taker person may enjoy being an entrepreneur, there should be a "check and balance" all the time to measure if the money and effort are being compensated in a preferably higher or equal value. Likewise, an employee should not only enjoy the benefit of having a constant work schedule and the amount of salary but also aimed to discover and take the risk to put out and show the most of what he can do.
