The assignment is :

Write an essay in one or two pages, which will help the AUBG Admissions Committee become acquainted with you, understand your motivation to attend AUBG, and determine how well you can express yourself. The essay should be on the following topic: "How an AUBG education will broaden your global perspective and cultivate your capacity for social responsibility." The essay will be evaluated on the basis of clarity, creativity, completeness of response, sentence structure, paragraphing, spelling, grammar, and style.

Since my early years in high school, I have had the greatest desire to study and live abroad in order to obtain a truly international experience and build a strong, flexible and open personality. Over the past five years I have continuously pursued a high level of education and have always strived to engage in extracurricular activities and undertake challenges. I have competed in numerous contests, and participated in volunteering activities. My interest for math and the economy has been continuously consolidated. In 2007 I have received an award for high results in the International Kangaroo mathematical competition and another award for the 3rd place in the Chisinau municipal Olympiad for History. In 2009 I have received diplomas for high achievements in the Work and Talent Chisinau science conference for both the Physics and Biology sections.

Also, in 2009 I have been selected to participate in the FLEX grant program sponsored by the US Department of State. During my year in the United States I have engaged in a large number of volunteering activities. I have been working with the Keep Seminole Beautiful organization, which does work in several educational and environmental projects, while conducting many clean-ups in order to preserve and protect the local natural environment. This helped me develop a strong civic sense, and I became conscious of the fact that helping the community or individuals in need provides infinite satisfaction, and positive impact on the environment. Furthermore, at Lake Howell High School that I attended in Florida, I received awards such as the Silver Scholar award, the Principal Honor Roll award and the Jefferson Award for Community service.

The one year that I have spent in the US has definitely broadened my views on how people interact. By studying at the Lake Howell High School, I came in contact with a large number of cultures. I have come to appreciate how understanding differences between people with different backgrounds is extremely important in order to be successful. Furthermore, the Economics course I took at the American high school has strengthened my decision to undertake a career in the Business field, and take part as an active agent in today's fast paced economy. These being said, I think that AUBG would be my best choice to start a Business career, with a rich local and international community and excellent academics.

Considering the fact that the American University in Bulgaria offers a unique educational experience, I believe it is the perfect place for me to begin my higher education. AUBG combines the professionalism of international faculty with the values of liberal arts, while creating an environment rich in different cultures. Thus, studying here will help me have global access to both cultures and academics, which will provide a foundation to enter the business world not only as a technocrat, but also as a well-rounded professional, with International exposure.

Furthermore, AUBG is one of the universities that focus on the leadership abilities of students. Since applying for, and participating in the FLEX program, I have been determined to build strong leadership abilities, and I am sure that AUBG will help me accomplish this goal, by providing opportunities to become involved in civic activities. Besides, the major in Business Administration is specially created to meet the needs of the global market, and I am optimistic that it will help me do so. I personally have a vision of myself managing my own business, and I am confident that the education received at AUBG will equip me with the skills required to enter the fast paced corporate world.

Your essay is coming along great, it's well written and interesting. I found a few small things to correct though;

My interest in math and the economy has been continuously consolidated.

In 2007 I have received an award for high results in the International Kangaroo mathematical competition, and another award for the 3rd place in the Chisinau municipal Olympiad for History.

In 2009 I have received diplomas for high achievements in the Work and Talent Chisinau science conference for both the Physics and Biology sections.

Also in 2009, I was selected to participate in the FLEX grant program, sponsored by the US Department of State.

These being said, I think that AUBG would be my best choice...
... I have been determined to build strong leadership qualities , and I am sure that AUBG will help...
