My pursue reason for NUT application (information systems)
Hi, guys.
I am a student from P.R.China and want to further my education in NUT.Could you help me check my essay? Thanks
To be honest, I had no idea about choosing major of undergraduate studies when I was graduated from high school. I put software engineering as my third chose. Intrigued by the power of the computer after one-year experience of contacting with this major, I successfully persuaded my parents to give up the idea that I should change my major. The majority of subjects covered by my major, such as Algorithm&Data Structure, Operating System, and Network Theory, were offered at the third year, but before that I tried to learn some skills related to software consciously. Specifically, I learned programming languages such as C++/C# by myself, programming tools (Visual Studio, GCC ).
Because of interesting, I spend most of my time on this major, even including my summer/winter holidays. Fortunately, I have got some achievements during my hard working. Among those, one project called Distributed file encryption hidden system is Patent pending. Another national SIT (Students Innovation Training in Chinese mainland) program named Combination traffic search engine is also on the way. In addition, I took part in the Examination for Software Designer and got a certificate successfully.
However, recent trends demonstrate that simply being skilled in software development is no longer sufficient to thrive in this fast-paced industry. When I knew that there is a program named Information Systems which is designed to address this training gap and educate information and Communication Technology professionals, I enjoyed a lot of interests. In order to make myself be able to keep up with the need of this fast-spaced industry, I decided to pursue this program. I firmly hope that NTU could offer me a opportunity to further my education.
