An Indian living in China; University of Chicago--Help with First question

I started my application today for UChicago and immediately find myself stumped at the first question. Although I know what to write, I cant get it down on paper. I have written a little bit and need people to give me advise on whether or not my current direction is good.

As an Indian who has spent his entire life living in China while attending an International school, I find myself in a vulnerable position. You see, applying to universities is not the easiest of tasks for me; while most other students around the world find themselves applying to universities for a greater cultural experience, I find myself struggling to find a place where I can still keep in touch with my multi-cultural background; a place where I can find chai (Indian tea) and 炒饭 (Chinese fried rice) on the same table, a place where it is completely normal to see a White child and a Chinese child playing side by side.

Hi Mohito,

I'm Iedha, I am Indonesian, and now I am learning writing skill too. I would like to share my experiences regarding to this writing as one of the language skills. The most important is to strengthen your basic skills, such as you should memorized a lot of vocabularies and also you must good in grammar. To gain more vocabularies, I suggest you not to memorized them directly, but you can keep them longer in your memory if you read more and more article, news, or TED Talks, and the last you should write more and practice it twice or three times a day. it's a good job for you because you posted your writing in Essay Forum. it helps you a lot.

How does the University of Chicago, as you know it now, satisfy your desire for a particular kind of learning, community, and future? Please address with some specificity your own wishes and how they relate to UChicago.

Hi Mohito, It's my pleasure to share.

In order to be able to develop your ideas in writing, you have to make the outline in advance.
for example:
Main Topic: general idea about what you are going to write, then devide the main idea into several supporting ideas (specific topic) followed by valuable explanations/information and fully supported examples. Don't forget to summarize your idea as the whole.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.
