The prompt is, "Why do you want to be a pharmacist?"
I have only 280 words to answer this one.
Preference is given to in state students.
Most students applying do not have much if any work/research expereince.

My Rough Draft:

After considering a number of careers and working in both research and the pharmaceutical industry, I have developed a clear understanding of the career facets I value most. While it took me a number of years to decide that Pharmacy was the best fit for my career objectives, I am confident that I have made a well contemplated decision that reflects my experiences.

The most important aspects of Pharmacy to me are that it mirrors my interest in science and physiology as well as meets my lifestyle objectives. Research was very engaging; I enjoyed the day to day activities and the process of learning and applying new information. Like research, Pharmacy is ever changing, as advances in clinical development continue to emerge.

So much of what I enjoyed about research carries over to pharmacy through clinical advancements to new medications and treatment plans.

Contrary to research and my current position for GlaxoSmithKline, a Pharmacist has employment prospects in a broad array of communities. As I would like to remain in Montana, where I am central to both family and friends, Pharmacy is a great fit for my lifestyle. Not only is there a need for pharmacists in most communities, pharmacy has a broad range of specialized career options. I am very interested in pursuing graduate school after completing the PharmD program, to open myself to these career prospects.

Pharmacy integrates the most interesting parts of science, directly applies its research and allows for a solid career in rural communities. Being part of community that oversees advancements in public health and directly applies that information to the individual patient, would be very gratifying and engaging for me.

i really think with this kind of essey,it would be best if you could give some experience from your work field or somthing to support your decision and i think it would also answer some loops somewhere like this statement from your essey

"I am confident that I have made a well contemplated decision that reflects my experiences".
the admission staff might not understand that statement

This sentence seems strange:
As I would like to remain in Montana, where I am central to both family and friends, Pharmacy is a great fit for my lifestyle.--- maybe "close to" instead of "central to"... but why does this make pharmacy an ideal career?

...of the characteristics facets I value most in a career.

it mirrors my interest in science and physiology ----- does pharmacy mirror something, really? I think maybe it "accommodates" your interests and lifestyle goals.

That last sentence should go in the previous para where you mention Montana. How about moving that last sentence out of the way and replacing it with a few sentences that summarize your main theme for the essay and list the main points made in the essay.

:-)
