Hi, I wrote about my tutoring experience for the leadership part. I don't know it could be a leadership experience but I can't think of anything else. Please give me some feedback. Thank you

Here is the prompt:
3. Write about any experience you have had that demonstrates your leadership skills. Examples could be taken from: employment, community service, student organizations, or similar situations. Be specific about when you had these experience(s) and how long they lasted

---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------

3. I have been working as a peer tutor at the Bellevue College Accounting and Statistics Lab since January 2010. Tutoring has given me a great chance to develop and demonstrate my leadership skills. I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of students seeking help for different reasons. Some students come to the lab to merely get some tips and strategies for their classes while others come to clarify the difficult details from lessons in class. I have had to approach my own teaching with different strategies to help students with varying levels of ability. I had to find ways to enable the students to do their best and to continue to achieve when they don't have the benefit of my tutelage.

There are a few students who have come to the lab regularly. I helped one student for the entire winter quarter of 2009 who had extreme exam anxiety. She was a good student and did very well in her class so what I needed to do was instill a sense of confidence in her that could carry over into her exams. Another student who I helped throughout the winter quarter of 2009 needed to learn how to study and develop good study habits. I encouraged him to work out assignments for himself instead of simply copying the answers provided in the solutions manual. Motivating these students was sometimes very challenging but my own determination allowed us both to succeed. I got a deep sense of satisfaction when these students would see me on campus and tell me that they did well on a test thanks to the tips and help I gave them. These teaching experiences have made me confident that I can make a significant contribution to the academic community at the Foster School.

This sounds like a teaching concept called "diversified instruction," which presents lessons in various ways to accommodate different learning styles and ability levels. I see that you could make a great theme:

The similarities between leadership strategies and instructional strategies.

Google these:
transformational leader
instructional strategies
diversified instruction

I think they will give you good ideas!! You write very well.

I agree with both of Azeri's suggestions.

this is good however I highly suggest changing the syntax and style of this. it is very basic and it is just you restating it...rather than telling the story....you should SHOW how you evolved and the things you have learned and what not through the story and then your reflection following that...rather than saying I blah blah...it is repetitive, and will not get you admitted into the business school.
