this is the prompt ( Explain why you have chosen your planned field of study, why this field of study is important to you or your country and how you plan to use the education you will gain after you graduate ) 250-300 words
This is what I wrote:
( We live in a changing world, economically, socially and politically. 2011 is a good example, it is the
year of the revolutions of the Arab Spring countries. If we go back on time, to the factors that led to
these revolutions, we will find that the failure of governments in the management of its countries
economically and politically was the primary reason and the root cause to the out break of these
revolutions.
This is why I chose to study Business Administration concentrating on Management. Because, I
believe that I can effect positive change in my country, and in the world through Business, since,
Business principles can serve as the backbone for economic, political and social systems at all levels.
Certainly, a degree in Business Administration is a extremely practical area of study, since the
curriculum provides students with so much real-world experience.
In the past few years, I began to feel great interest towards learning how businesses function and so I
chose in 12th grade to study economics in order to learn basic principles on the extent of businesses'
impact on the national economy and by extension, its impact economically and socially on the rest of
the world.
Niall FitzGerald, the former Chairman and CEO of Unilever wrote that " Company leaders are not only
leaders of business, but leaders within society ", I believe that this statement is completely correct.
Since I was born and am living in Egypt, participated in the YES program, I completely understand
how important economic and social development is for my country, I have a profound passion and
enthusiasm to use every knowledge, skill and opportunity to contribute to the positive change in my
country, and to the rest of the world through pursuing a degree in Business Administration
concentrating on Management. )
I would really appreciate your constructive criticism and opinions so much, thanks.
