I'm thinking of this start:
"Look and learn", said my father when I accompanied him to business meetings. As a naive 11-year old girl, I sat quietly and heard what in that time was Greek for me. Even though I did not understand anything I felt the passion and determination that lead my father to a successful negotiation. That's what has inspired me to pursue a business major.
If business were only studying and memorizing facts, and concepts, I would not choose business as my major. However, in studying business I get to know how the human needs are fulfilled through production and distribution. I believe that GWU is the best place in the world to study business. It is a school, located in Washington, D.C,where it will be possible to see economic theory in action. With the IMF, I will be able to participate in internships and therefore experience business like never before. Along with the curriculum focused on ethical leadership, globalization, social responsibility and experiential learning, GWU will build solid foundations to make a positive change.
Any corrections or suggestions?
