Stirring the mixed liquids together, I watched as the solution turn a shade of turquoise. Working out complicated mathematical equations in my head, I waited for an expected result to happen. Although my eyes were watering with suspense and my vision was blurry and dream-like under the protection of my glossy lab goggles, I watched as the solution bubble for a quick three seconds. I felt a sudden rush of excitement, feeling like a mad scientist, who just discovered something new in the world of chemistry.
I have always been fascinated by the workings life. I am pretty confident that pharmacy is something that I want to pursue because not only is it something that truly interests me, it also gives me a chance to contribute to society, in terms of assisting people obtain the correct medicines and most importantly, advising them about the correct usages of the medicines. It keeps surprising me how a job as simple as dispensing drugs and informing patients about any details of the drug is so important and essential to the well-being of patients.
I decided to apply Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences because it is a very "direct" school for people who are pretty convinced about the generalized, if not specific, field that they want to pursue career-wise - healthcare. In addition, it is easy to find people with the same interests because we are all under the same umbrella.
