I have always had a passion for both engineering and technology, however choosing between the two as a career has not been easy. For civil engineering I seek to develop theoretical knowledge into real world application, aiming to contribute to sustainable projects of my own or others. By joining UW's 'Sustainable Campus Initiative' I can not only gain foundational experiences for personal projects but also exchange with like minded engineers who share the same interest in sustainability, achieving potential project partners. On the other hand, for computer science I aspire to innovate projects like an AI driven personal finance app. The AI (CS 486) course at UW would help support my knowledge on essential AI features to help implement the app. Likewise, UW'S renowned velocity program can help combine my programming skills with entrepreneurial benefits to help launch the app.

Your response is concise, informative, and well developed. It shows that you have an actual career path that you would like to build a foundation for at the university. You know precisely how to go after your future path via the presented course choices, university training and support systems, as well as other options. You have done your research into the course offerings and curriculum. This will not go unnoticed by the reviewers who may consider your responses well developed.
