I simple girl had a goal
I screw up my eyes from bright lights of projectors and cameras that shined on me from all sides. Even thought I was kind of blind, I could see a big auditory full of people. Because of debate club that I attended while I was studying at the university, I was not afraid to be or to talk on a public, but today everything was different. My heart was pounding, my breath stopped, and I petrified, because millions eyes of people who were waiting of my speech looked at me. Most of them were a new generation of "___" scholars who were studying in the USA. Looking at them, I paid attention for a group of people wearing T-shorts with Purdue University logotype, the university which I graduated 50 years ago. Looking at them, I recalled the time when I was studying at Purdue University.Oh my god, time runs so fast, 50 years have passed. It seems like I graduated from Purdue just yesterday. I remember knowing what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be in the future. Simple girl from a small village, which is not even on country'a map, had a goal to become a great person, the first-class specialist who will make a mark in Kazakhstan's computer development history. Even when I was a child, I knew that only strong knowledge acquired from a good university could help me to achieve my goals. Unfortunately, my parents could not afford my education. That's why I applied for "name" Scholarship which provided whole financial support for me and soon I applied to Purdue University which was one of the best schools in the USA.
I am so happy that I got acceptance from Purdue, and so happy that I was studying there. I think my life at Purdue was one of the best times of whole my life. I remember how I was preparing for my exams, how I wrote my own computer programs, how I went to different states to participated in debate competitions, how happy I was when I got first places, I remember that I was a President of ___ Student Association, and always created concerts and special events where me and other __students tried to show our ___ culture and history to American students.During my studying I found out everything about computer science. While studying at bachelor degree at Purdue, I did a research with one of my professor. I could spend days and nights at the lab, because it was difficult and very interesting at the same time. That time I understood that I made a right decision when I chose my major, because I certainly enjoyed doing my work with computers! After Purdue graduation, I return to Kazakhstan and started to work at ___ where I taught students did research. Studying there was not only challenging experience that I have ever had, but it also was also a great luck. If I did not study there, I do not think I would achieve what I have now. First, I have a big experience of living and studying abroad, I have strong knowledge of computers and all related things to them. Second, I have a job that I like and I became a great person, great scientist whom everyone respects. And third, the most important that I met a guy who became my husband and father to my children. Looking back now, I understand that Purdue was a window to my future life!
Suddenly I heard a woman's voice:"A dean of Computer Science Faculty at ___University, my name." I got a deep breath, and surely stepped ahead to public who were waiting to hear my challenge, my experience, and of course my advice.
I do not know is it a right answer for such kind of question((
