The main goal of this essay is to show the weaknesses of this classical approach in schools and its negative results.
Making students passive learners by obliging them to listen and memorize the teacher knowledge without taking into account their perspectives leads to failure. Students need to be encouraged to discuss topics and criticize them to be active members in their societies afterwards. They should be taught how to deal with problems and be let to find solutions for themselves. The role of teachers should not be pouring knowledge in students' heads and feed children with solutions to some problems. They have to monitor students to have critical thinking and enable them to interact between themselves in classes and with their environment when they are out of school. If children are given the opportunity to express their point of views in classes and taught to be active in their societies the results will be positive.
Admittedly, effective teaching necessitates the respect of teachers. Yet, this does not mean student should sit quietly in their seats without doing any efforts to contribute to the lessons.
