The given pie charts compare the percantage of energy consumed for different purposes and how much produced greenhouse gas in each australian family.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is apparent that heating accounts for highest energy consumption while the largest porprotion in greenhouse gas belongs to water heating.

The energy consumed in each australian household used for heating stand at 42%, which is the highest figure on the chart, followed by that of water heating at approximate 30%. In contrast, the propotion of other appliances has a minitority of 15%. And the rest, refrigeration, cooling and lighting occupy small percentage, just under 7%.

Regarding greenhouse gas emission, water heating and other appliances are the major causes about over 30% and 28% respectively. In addition, the propotion of heating are lower, just under 20% compared to energy is used. Moreover, both cooling and lighting in charge of the production under one-tenth in total gas emission and consumption of energy.

Do not just tell the reader that pie charts were provided. Be specific about the number. Why should you be specific about that? Well, you are expected to give a short list of important information and its sources in the summary overview. A proper and referenced image presentation is therefore required. For clarity:

2 pie chart images were provided for Australian households. The first referenced household energy use while the second, indicated greenhouse emmission measurements from the same information source (Australian households). Both pie charts accomplished their respective measurements using percentages. Household energy use ranged from water heating, refrigiration, other appliances, lighting, cooling and finally, heating. Greenhouse emissions stemmed from the same measurement references.

Notice how more precise my presentation is? That is how an accurate summary overview is completed.


Remember the English writing rules. You cannot start a sentence with a conjunction as this is used to connect 2 related ideas in one sentence.
