Most of parents feel that their children should enter the best university possible. They think that It would be the way to let their children to be the best and sometime they force their children to be in this school. To most of every one, university is one of the most important goals. Sure that you would have bigger opportunity to get a good job if you enter best university, you would gain many degree through the university process. But not everyone suppose to be in this school.
Firstly, entering the best university doen't mean that you will be better than the students who not enter this school. Entering university is not the only way of learning. I have told about a woman, the only warrant she got is the diploma of the worse university in Australia, and when she backed to Vietnam, and showed her capability without a quite impressive diploma. Most of her knowledge was collected by out-school learning. Now, She is vice precident of Vinamilk. So actually, university is important but not the decisive factor, the decisive factor is ourself.
But when you enter the best university that mean you enter the harest university. If you are not good enough to be in that school, it could become the overwhelming ordeal of studying. Most of everybody else are better than you. If you are a quite good student when you was in high school it would be a sock to you. And after you try and try really hard but you still get nothing, you would have lots of pressure and start feeling disheartened. Instead, you enter a nomal university, agree to your ability, you learn what the they teach you, you are quite appreciated in that school. What will you feel? You will have more and more inspiration to learn, it would be the leverage for you. There is no need to compare closely, just need a have a glimpse you would know that which would make you better. Maybe, entering best university is the would be the worse decision you have ever made. Sometimes, the best is anermy of the good.
Last but not least, when you are in financial difficulties, you have to chose the university with the less fee. And the best university not offen have low fee. Unless you got a scholarship but even when you got 2 or 3 scholarships and scholarship of the better university is much more lower than the others, of couse that the lower fee is the best decision. Of couse that you can learn in the university with higher fee, but you would put yourself in a very hard situation, you have to work so much to earn money for the fee and there is no time for learning anymore. Or borrowing money from another one and you would have just put your family in hard condition. Begger must be no chooser.
Of couse, everyone want to enter the best university but It is not the only factor to be successful. And the best university must be best agree with you, not make you harder in collecting knowledge and be dispirited.
