In today's world, there are many challenges, problems and issues around the world, such as global climate, the lack of water, the shortage of agriculture in developing countries, HIV and AIDS, overpopulation, ageing, and other problems in the whole world. However, the issue of wars and conflicts is the hottest and the most influential contention globally. Therefore, if I were granted the ability to solve only one of many world issues, I would select this concern and I would focus on fostering a culture of empathy and understanding to prevent the world from wars and conflicts as the ability that I granted.

There have been many wars and conflicts throughout the previous decades until now. Therefore, they are defined as conflict fights between armed troops. Especially, war is the hostility towards other parties issued officially by governments. Wars and conflicts have a close relationship because conflicts are part of war, even though not every war sees actual conflict.

As it is observed, wars and conflicts have effortlessly broken out. Typically, there are some particular wars and conflicts in the world. Firstly, concerning historical world wars, there included: World War I (1914-1918), an international conflict that embroiled most of the nations of Europe along with Russia, the United States, the Middle East, and other regions. It has caused a variety of damage to the whole world. From 1914 to 1918, 60 million European military personnel were mobilized, with an estimated 8 million killed, 7 million disabled, and 15 million incredibly injured. Chemical weapons were deployed by all major belligerents, inflicting 1.3 million casualties, with 90,000 fatalities.

Then World War II ( 1939-1945), the conflict that involved virtually every part of the world. Some countries took part in this war: Germany, Italy, Japan,... World War II casualties vary, with estimates suggesting around 60 million deaths, including 20 million military personnel and 40 million civilians.
Especially, there was the Vietnam War (1954-1975), a protracted conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam and its allies in South Vietnam, known as the Viet Cong, against and protesting the government of South Vietnam. It also brought to Viet Nam a load of negative effects. The French-Indochina War in 1954 divided Vietnam into the communist North and the democratic South, leading to an insurgency, increased U.S. aid, and support from China and the Soviet Union. The collapse of the South Vietnamese government in 1975 led to widespread deaths and emigration.

Secondly, about the latest wars and conflicts, we must mention some classic examples: the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has damaged a variety of global economies, oil, gasoline,..Particularly, the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and subsequent economic sanctions have severely impacted the Russian and Ukrainian economies, leading to increased food prices and decreased supply to some global markets. Rising energy prices are also pushing agricultural costs higher, contributing to increasing food prices globally.

In addition, there was a conflict between Israel and Palestine. The 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement, also known as the July Revolution, was a series of anti-government and pro-democracy protests in Bangladesh, spearheaded primarily by university students, which is a young generation to help develop the country but has a distorted way of thinking.

When wars or conflicts happen, many things are affected. All of the wars and conflicts were blown up and also have brought negative effects to humanity from facilities to spirit. It can be politics, economics, humanity, environment, and also education. Throughout some of the above shreds of evidence that were given, it is easily observed that wars and conflicts caused serious destruction in the world.

Firstly, for politics, when war happened, it affected government structures along with the people in power of the government. Many times, one authoritarian is removed and new forms of government are put into place.

Then, relating to economics, wars, and conflicts are a major cause of the reversals in economic growth that many developing countries have experienced in recent decades. Economic downturns experienced during periods of violent conflict are a key reason for much lower average growth rates over time in poor countries.
Concerning the environment, not only can wars and conflict be destructive to the socioenvironment, but military activities also produce extensive amounts of greenhouse gases (that cause climate change), pollution, and resource depletion, among other environmental impacts.

Above all, no matter what the purpose, wars, and conflicts always bring a lot of pain, loss, and damage to people, as it is ascertained, that education and humanity have been seriously affected by wars and conflicts. Even though people have the most important role in enhancing and fostering standards of living and the world's future. It is manifest that wars are a key to long-term physical and psychological harm to children and adults, as well as the reduction in material and human capital. It is evident that, in the war-time, we must have taken part in the army and must have against to enemy so as to protect our hometown, our countries. It is common knowledge that we didn't have time to learn, to read a book, or even relaxedly read a letter from our family, our relatives. Only by living in peace, can we able to get knowledge from school, from education. Only by living in peace and quiet decades, can we able to foster our future, foster our countries.

Wars and conflicts are fought for a variety of reasons including economic, territorial, religious, political, civil, revenge, and ideological. So, wars and conflicts can be broken out when a problem cannot be solved, when values clash, or when there is ambiguity over ownership of land and resources. Especially, it is common knowledge that the more lacking basic humanity, empathy, and understanding, the more the world falls into war. Therefore, empathy is the key to peace.

One of the biggest and the most basic reason to start wars and conflicts is lacking of empathy and understanding. Empathy is the core of peaceful coexistence. By understanding and valuing the perspectives and emotions of others, we can able to bridge divides that often lead to conflict. Not only does empathy allow us to see beyond our own experience but it also recognizes the humanity in others, which is essential in resolving disputes. For instance, many conflicts arise from misunderstandings or doubtful mindsets. By fostering empathy, we can find out these root causes and create a foundation for dialogue and reconciliation.
In today's world, the more modern the world is, the more enhanced the mindset is. We must be self-conscious about this concern. We must have a particular action such as issuing a plea about "no wars and conflicts, no damage, and peace". We must forge the roots of morality in order to enhance the standards of life as long as the future of our countries and the world.

In conclusion, supposing I accorded the ability, to promote empathy, and to solve world issues, which as wars and conflicts, I would personally believe that the world will be more peaceful, wonderful, and modern. By focusing on these areas, we can create a sustainable world. By investing in education, economic development, diplomacy, justice, environmental sustainability, and technology, we can create a more just world. The key is to recognize our shared humanity, work together towards common goals, and prevent the world from wars and conflicts. Why not stand up and protect peace? Had it not been for peace, would we have lived in peace and have had a modern world? Let's appreciate what we have and think about the reasons that created it. How about eliminating war and strife? Nurture your soul in the most standard way to become a useful person for society.

You are practicing for an IELTS test right? This is a general essay question. I do not believe that you can write almost 1500 words and actually finish it during the alllotted time of the actual test. You should not be writing more than 300 words at the most for this type of discussion. You are not going to earn extra points for the extra long essay because you will get an automatic failing mark for not completing your essay within the allotted time. You need to learn to keep your writing short and informative. Do not overdiscuss and learn to use appropriate vocabulary. Long essays will always be met with a failing mark mostly because of the time frame and also, the incorrect vocabulary usage since long essays are incorrectly focused on vocabulary use alone and nothing more.
