"a holiday overseas" - Letter to your friends - IELTS

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:
>thank them for the photos and for the holiday
>explain why you didn't write earlier
>invite them to come and stay with you

Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear __________

Dear Aris and Jecko,

Hi there! How are you? I hope you two are doing well. I'm pretty good in spite of working hard. Anyway, I'd like to say thanks for the photos and for letting me stay in your flat. Also, I'm inviting you to come and visit our place.

I'm so glad to receive the pictures today. While I was looking at the photos, I can't help myself to miss that holiday. It was such a wonderful adventure. The big smiles on our face showed that we had so much fun and excitement. And for that, I'm so grateful to have spent the holiday with you guys. Thanks much for the warm welcome during my stay and for the pictures too.

Also, you folks might wonder why I haven't written immediately after I came back here. It is because I've been so busy with my work. There were a lot of deadlines to meet, as I have such a demanding job.

Anyway, please come and visit our country, the Philippines. I'm sure you would like to experience the tropical weather and explore exotic places here.

As I see, people can still be happy when they work hard.

I guess you want to say something like this: Every thing is fine. I just feel a little bit tired because of my job.

I revise your sentence as follows:

I'm pretty good in spite of my arduous works.


Is it "my" or "our" country? Are Aris and Jecko also Philippines?
