topic: International tourism is now common than ever before. some feel that this is a positive trend

In the recent years, there has seen a significant increase in global tourism. we can not deny its economic prosperity for host countries, it can cause some serious influences. In this essay, i intend to argue that the general impacts of international tourism have in fact been negative.

First of all, global tourism can expose several negative aspects of wester cultures. because the wealthy usually afford to travel abroad to visit developing countries, like Thailand, India, etc, which could advertise their cultures to other countries around the world. However, the tendency of global tourism has brought many social problems such as prostitution, alcoholism, drug abuse. It is an undeniable fact that international tourism has brought people over the world together as well as create cultural understanding among people from different nations.

Further and even more importantly, though, the environmental degradation would be the major concern of host nations. it came to my knowledge that a number of beautiful beaches have been seriously polluted by garbage on the beach. A great number of visitors have joined special activities such as boats, scuba diving, surfing, etc, but they do not have right attitudes to protect natural environment. In order to tackle this issue, the authorities need to pass the strict rules toward foreign tourists as well as local people.

By way of conclusion, the challenges of the booming international tourist companies have been dangerous and complex. In my opinion, both individuals and governments should have responsibility to protect our culture from the western cultures.
