IELTS General Module Task 1 writing a letter to the restaurant manager

You have some repairs to do at home, but there is a restaurant next to your house. Write a letter to the restaurant manager and say:

- What repairs are you going to do?
- How will it affect the restaurant?
- Provide a solution for the inconvenience.

Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is Adam Gerrard, I'm your neighbor that living in the next door of your restaurant. I'd like to apologize in advance about the inconvenience that could happen because of some repairs that I will do in my home. I will paint the front of the house and also change some cooling system spare parts.

I am pretty sure that the smell of the paint will effect on your customers as well as your employees. Furthermore, the paint could affects your main entrance and may prevent your customers from entering the restaurant after the workers start painting. On the other hand, the cooling system could be noisy while testing it after replacing the old spare parts with new ones.

Thus, to solve these issues in that short time, I suggest to let the customers to use the back door entrance. In addition, I advice to open the windows to keep the air flooding smoothly to takeout the bad smell. Also, the use of air freshener could be a good idea. Regarding to the cooling system, I will do my best to make the test in the evening times after the duty hours. Any damages that could happen during these period of time will be on my expense.
