IELTS TASK 1: Oil production capacity for several gulf countries

The graph shows estimated oil production capacity for several gulf countries between 1990 and 2010. Average oil production capacities in these countries are produce about 6 millions of barrel per day.

As per graph, oil production in Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and UEA are producing a profit in number of millions of barrels per day. As long as 20 years, each oil producing countries rose dramatically about 20% per year. Except for S. Arabia oil production since 20 years increased sharply eight times from other oil producer countries neighboring.

As long as 20 years latest oil produced of Iran and Iraq increased dramatically. Iran produced from 3.2 million barrel per day to 4.3 million bpd followed by Iraq with number decreased slightly by approximately from 2 million bpd to just under 4 million bpd. Amount oil producing of UEA is almost same as Iraq in 2010 only lacking at least 3% of the total production. As well as with Kuwait the total of oil production in this country increased step by step just under at 3.7 million bpd. Contrary to Qatar, this country didn't show increasing significant for 20 years liable leveling off.

To conclude, as long as 20 years S. Arabia is the higher oil producer. Contrary to Qatar, this oil producer country at least between 6 other oil producing countries with average production 1 million bpd.

I have already commented about the approach that we recommend you to follow for this task in your other threads. As per that, you need to have an Overview after the Introduction and in this essay I don't fin an overview.


Well, your graph does not mention anything about profits, but it simply presents the details of oil production capacity of each country listed there. In this task, it is very important that you should not talk about things that are not presented by the image or graph. This is a report writing task in which you report what you see only.
