When discussing important topics, do you prefer to use the telephone or email? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Although I admit that sending an email seems more convenience than making a call, I prefer to use the telephone instead of the email. I have there reasons why I prefer the telephone. First, it a timesaving second, it is more effective and third, it is a better way to express my feelings.

First, the telephone is a timesaving. For instance, I am working in a telecommunicating company. I use the telephone for all urgent situations because I don't have time to lose with typing an email and waiting for a reply. I have urgent situations all the time in working hours. Thus, the email is a useless and a time wasting way to communicate for me.

Second, the telephone is more effective way to communicate. Generally I work till the late at night. I can be very careless at these times because I am sleepless and exhausted. For instance, one night, I was new at job and sent an email about last situation of my project to our CEO (He has the same first name with my manager) instead of my manager. I was so concerned about his reaction to this situation because he was a very angry person, but even so, he politely warned me to send that email to the right person.

Third, the telephone is a better way to express your feelings. For instance, I wasn't happy in my first job and I decided to quit. Because of my manager's angry characteristic and my lack of self-confidence, I did prefer to send an email instead of making a call. After I sent the email, my manager called me to arrange a meeting. He was angry not because I want to quit job, but because I wanted to quit job by an email. We discussed the situation and then I decided that he was right.

For these reasons, I believe that I prefer to use the telephone because it saves your time, it is more effective and, it is a better way to express your feelings.

Hi korch;

sending an email seems more convenienceconvenient

Examples;
1) seems more convenient/ it is more convenient/ a convenient solution/ she said conveniently
2) It's all about convenience / It's a matter of convenience / depending on convenience

I have there reasons why I prefer the telephone.

You must either say;
I have reasons why I prefer the telephone / There are reasons why I prefer telephone

You need to pay attention to grammar!

There are three reasons for me to prefer the telephone over emails.

First, it a timesaving second, it is more effective and third, it is a better way to express my feelings.

Firstly it is much more time saving. Secondly is more it is more effective and thirdly, it is a btter way to express my feelings.

you are right about first and second one, I will fix them next time. however some people say firstly, secondly is grammatically illogical. I'm not sure about that.

Oh shoot. I'm sorry about that. Cut the first "is more" part. I have typed that by mistake.

He was angry not because I want to quit job, but because I wanted to quit job by an email.

He was angry not because I wanted to quit the job, but because I had resigned by an email.

I was so concerned about his reaction to this situation because he was a very angry person, but even so, he politely warned me to send that email to the right person.

Angry person??? I think it is better if you rephrase that. :)
