The statistical data reveals the information about "the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999".

The proportion of single aged person living in poverty was 6% around 54000 people ,while in similar household type the aged couple was less than single age group at 4% with 48,000 people. However, persons living single with no children was very high at 19% with a population of 3,59,000.Instead of this, couple with no children was less than half of single with no children at 7% but the population of people living in poverty in same household type was approx 60% which was 2,11,000.

The proportion of sole parent percentage was very high from all categories which was 21% but the person living in this household was about 65% of single, with no children that is 2,32,000.The proportion of marriage couple with children was 12% ,however ,the population living in poverty was very high as compare to rest of the category.Above all ,all household people in this category was just at 11% but the people living in poverty was too high as compare to all categories that is 18,37,000.

The proportion of sole parent percentage was very high from all categories which was 21% but the person living in this household was about 65% of single,

You can not use proportion and percentage at a time in a sentence. Have a look; 1. the number of sole parent was 21% 2. the proportion of sole parent increases to 21% 3. 21% of sole parent were living

It's good to have your diagram here. Why not upload it?
The structure I would follow is that;
1. Introduction of the graph (you've done it correct)

he statistical data reveals the information about "the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999"

2. Overview - Just a brief overview as to discuss the main trends. This is a little less than what you've done in your second paragraph which has more details

3. Details - This one with more details.
