Nowadays, English plays as an International language that most of the people are using all over the world. It demands us to understand English deeply to use it in the life and any situation effectively. In the time of integration, most of the multinational companies and unions certainly need employee good at English communication skills and if students have the capability to do so then there would be no problems getting a good job after graduation. In specifically, tourism is regarded as a smokeless industry and to be expected invaluable contributions toward the economic development of our country. Moreover, our country is focusing on developing industrialized and service towards an industry country by 2020. Among of which special importance is attached to the tourism industry, which is considered as a key to the development of Vietnamese economy. Being a student majoring in English, I am fond of learning the multinational culture which is very important to help me expanding my knowledge and contributing to the fellowship between our country and international friends so that I choose to study further English for tourism during my practicum time. Moreover, this is also my favorite subject at university. Actually, English for tourism relates to many business fields such as hotels, restaurants, spa, travel agency, etc... as far as I am concerned, I am really keen on the work of the receptionist at the hotel- a representative of the whole (what?) to welcome guest come to the hotel, making reservations for them and attending to their other needs that are instrumental to their comfort during their stay at the hotel. What's more, I am interested in meeting and helping all kinds of people. That's is the reason why I work as a front desk receptionist at Duy Tan hotel in Hue city during my practicum time. Duy Tan hotel located in the very heart of the poetic of Hue city, being well-equipped, this is really a comfortable place for those who comes to Hue for sightseeing, relaxaion, or business. The hotel also receives a large number of foreign visitors, as well as domestic guests come to stay - a very suitable place for a student major in English like me come to digest during 8 weeks praticum. At Duy Tan hotel, I was assigned some duties such as greeting visitors, answering questions about what the hotel offers and the surrounding area, dealing with bookings by phone, e-mail, letter, fax or face-to-face...
