(I've been practicing writing for my graduate school, please help me correct grammar or better syntax, Thank you so much!!!!!!)
In this rush era, people have to be multi-tasking to be able to meet with every social expectation. People no longer satisfied only with a successful career but also an appealing appearance, a wealthy social life, and a colorful lifestyle. What's more, with the advent of the Information age, the pervasive media drowned our sensations. All the reasons above increase tremendous strain to our life.
Unfortunately, the existence of stress is an inevitable reality. Appropriate amount of stress make oneself more motivated and more productive, but too much stress or a strong response to stress can have serious consequences. It's well-known trigger for depression and it can also cause such illness as ulcers and heart disease. So it is vital to find a way coping with stress. Stress reduction is a result of stress management. I, personally, am believed that Yoga practice- including breathing, posture, and meditation- is the best way to relieve pressure.
Through practicing Yoga posture, we are connecting our body and mind: when the body and mind are synchronized, we not only strengthen our muscle but also refresh our mind by gradually recognizing and extending our physical limitations. Additionally, facing stress with a deep breath brings us into the present, and provides clarity. It is an efficient way to take the mind away from mental worry by focusing on breathing. And by doing meditation, just sitting still and closing our eyes, will begin to calm the mind. Meditation is awareness of what is in the moment. Given time to reflect, we can set the negative feeling free.
Moreover, persistently practicing Yoga can also prepare for the future adversity- to develop the self-discipline and the mental habits to deal with an unexpected stress event. When bad things happened, it won't tremble our life, because we are already well prepared.
Managing stress is a critical lesson in our life. Through yoga we can learn to develop a greater awareness of our physical and psychological states. As a result, we are in a position to better manage our reactions to the thoughts, feelings and responses we have to the miscellaneous stress we deal with every day.
