essay about the nature of estrangement

the assignment is: "write an essay about the nature of estrangement, for better or for worse, using personal examples and analysis."

I have had to rewrite this paper five times and I keep doing it wrong. My problem is that i keep on making personal narratives and she wants an analysis. I am not good in English at all, I need someone to explain this assignment to me to where i understand what it is she wants from me. Where do I start?

An analysis is another word for "evaluation" or "understanding." It seems like your instructor wants to you digest this topic (the nature of estrangement) under different conditions, and then support your understanding with examples and your own statements of understanding.

First, I suggest you start by discussing the nature of estrangement, in your own words. What is it to you? How do you understand it? What are its positive and negative points? Then you can move on to your examples. How do they illustrate or negate your points made in your interpretation of the topic? Remember, analysis is nothing more daunting than your understanding or interpretation of something.

Hello! Does this involve the Nature vs. Nurture question? If so, type nature vs. nurture into Google. Also, you can find articles about it by using Google scholar.

Do you mean child development?

If so, you might want to do an Internet search for "child development" and "Nature" and "Nurture." See what other people have written about the influence of nature (i.e. the environment) on development.
