"how do stories we tell about our families shape what we become?" - essay start?

okv so the topic is "how do stores we tell about our families shape what we become?" and the teacher said that in the 1st paragraph he wants us to introduce the subject, in the 2nd: get into a personal/cultural narrative of the subject and at the 3rd arrive at the thesis

so i decided that my thesis will be something like "the stories i tell about my family teach a lot about the importance of perseverance"

but i have no idea what to do in the 1st and second paragraphs. iwas thinking maybe talk a little bit about what perserverance is in the first paragraph but the teacher said he doesnt want it to be all dictionary-ish or generalized so idk

2nd paragraph talk about your family and what perseverance has to do with them and you
