Dear Moderator,
Please provide me some suggestion on scope for improvement, grammatical errors. sequence of mentioning events.
I have completed my graduation in ECE and want to do a Master's degree in telecommunication.
I believe "Knowledge is Power" through which it became my greatest of interest in the study of Electronics as I learnt and explored the ventures with advancement in this field that enthusiast me more during my graduate studies which later became my major study interest for Embedded VLSI study. During my studies, I've always been fascinated and grew more curious in VLSI, SOC and its designing. How the smallest of materials move the largest of bodies creating a dynamic embedded system. To enrich my knowledge and advancement in electronics design and research, I want to pursue, sharpen and gain more advancement through a Masters in Electronics with VLSI major. I am of the firm conviction that an opportunity to pursue graduate studies, which help to endeavor towards realizing my dream goal.
Hindsight, I see myself child born in a middle-class Indian family of ordinary educational and cultural background.
Ever since the high school I became so much curious about the advanced gizmos and their intriguing development which amazed me and the more it developed more gets compact since then I started to pursue this field I gained distinction with 82% in CBSE board Examination and got my high school with Science with mathematics & biology where I scored distinction with 76.2%. During my academic years, I participated in many quizzes and competitions as well and was very active in the extra curriculum. Not only the studies, I also enjoyed art and I had participated in many zonal level paintings competitions and even won a few.
Consequently, for pursuing my interest I gave Engineering Common entrance Test (CET GGSIPU), 2009 and scored the top 10 % where I got selected in Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering (ranked 2nd under G.G.S. Indraprastha University, Delhi) in ECE branch under the Bachelor of Technology.
During my bachelors degree in electronic engineering, it opened up many possibilities and interesting challenges for the reason that science and technology are the roots of many interesting scientific and technical activities.
In addition, I have been an active student member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) Through its workshops/seminars and publications like the 'The Spectrum,' it has exposed me to a lot of emerging technologies in the field of communications.
It heightened my interest in embedded systems so I opted for 6-week in-house College training in Embedded System, in my college under the professors' guidance during my 2nd yr and learnt to design a microcontroller based PCB and program other similar boards and made my In-house training project on same Microcontroller PCB board generating different LED patterns and 7-segment.
During 3rd year, I applied for Industrial internship and got selected in two major Organizations
Under government of India, Both were the huge opportunities for me to learn and through time management and different shifts I managed and decided to study simultaneously since all the my internship required my core study knowledge in my subject so I used it as an advantage via time management I acquired a quality 6-week summer training from under Ministry Of Defense organization: Defense Research and Development Organization(DRDO) where I got Solid State Physics Laboratory(SSPL) which is the R&D base in field of Solid State Materials, Devices and sub-systems there I had my supervisors Scientist F: Mr. B.S. Matheru and Scientist C: Mrs. Kirti under their guidance I had my study on Transmitter and Receiver module where I submitted my project "The Study Of T-R MODULE used in RADAR System in C-BAND using ferrite Phase Shifters. Under the internship, I studied about designing of the TX - Rx module, C-band rotary, ferrite phase shifters to replace the existing X-band array shifters which are used in the tax-Rx module to increase the range and efficiency of radar used in the surveillance system.
And In my other internship at All India Radio & Doordarshan (Broadcasting Corporation of India), Kingsway Camp New Delhi where my mentor was Mr. Rakesh Sharma (Director General, STI) where I learnt and in-depth all the transmitter systems for used in media broadcasting, electronic gadgets, Studios, production equipment, HDTV, Graphics Systems and by visiting radio stations learnt about India's media broadcasting system. And during the course I submitted my hardware project with a presentation for my project "RF remote Controller working on the 433MHZ or controlling various attached devices on receiver" and successfully completed with an EXCELLENT remark from mentors.
With the advent of time and my growing interest working and studying with concepts of Analog electronics, Digital Electronics, communication systems and embedded system and VLSI I decided to select Advance-VLSI (AVLSI) in my final year subject. And during my final year project with team-work we succeeded to make our working model project "Automatic Patients Temperature and Heartbeat Monitoring system for a remote Doctor". Our project aim was to make an electronic device. Which monitor patient's temperature, heartbeat, and other parameters continuously and on any abnormal detection produce an alarm on the remote receiver held by doctors.
Many people have asked me why I did not proceed directly to graduate studies after graduating. The answer is that I wanted to make sure that I had chosen the right subject and the right place before embarking on a course of study that would involve many years of my life and also before stepping in I want to make sure I have gained my full financial resources for further graduate and above studies. So after the graduation with two years have also given me time to work with Innovative Technology and Solutions where I worked as a Software Tester. There I successfully worked with the development team in software testing and worked on the various website testing for testing of inventory software for the same where my skills developed more widely in IT being versatile I proficiently performed using my technical skills in manual testing, C++, JSP, Test case, HTML, CSS, automation testing. Through my career, I interacted and learnt a lot with many amazing professionals and opportunity to work under their great mentorship and received their appreciation.
I also enjoy teaching so in my free time to teach neighborhood children sometimes, although I have no formal experience, my naturally strong communication skills will help me considerably. I am a very practical person and my understanding is prodded by actually seeing things work. I envisage myself as a quick thinker, learner and researcher- either in industry or in the university. In fact, that's something I would enjoy immensely.
The MS program in Electrical Engineering with VLSI offered by your reputed XYZ graduate school will undoubtedly provide me with the right knowledge, skills and experience to pursue my dream and exploit the opportunities to the fullest extent through its top-flight laboratories. I would be more than happy to be given the opportunity to pursue my graduate study in your university. The practical orientation of your in-depth coursework will allow me to not only acquire a clear understanding of the subject but also the skills to execute it. I am confident my exposure to such initiatives would quite augment my knowledge base and add tremendous value in enabling me to realize my professional goals.
