Topic: What are your career objectives for the next five years? How do you feel the Executive MBA can assist you in reaching your objectives?
Essay:
Those who know me closely say that I possess mind having artistic, scientific and business characteristics. Truly speaking in business terms, I describe myself as social human being "product" which can efficiently perform activities related to Scientific Art. Throughout my life, I struggled a lot for every single achievement, learnt lessons from every failure and kept facing the challenges with full vigour. My struggle taught me hard work is indispensable and provides satisfaction. On the other hand, failure taught me to follow a simple principle: right place, right decision and right time. In order to make myself a more desirable product, I am eager to add the feature of business manager. Yes, the efficient business manager.
I have natural flair to appreciate the beauty of Art. My bachelor studies, gave me enough opportunities to inculcate technical aspect of my mind. I have 9 years of professional work experience. During past several years, I kept questioning myself: Is this the right time to pursue further studies in Business Administration? Now, I stand at a juncture where my career path bifurcates into technical and business management. No doubts, I took the right decision to choose business management. Due to my current work, I stay in historic city known as Mannheim, Germany. Nonetheless, it is a city which also boasts of Mannheim Business School. Honestly, I am in right place, I have right decision and time is just ripe.
Over next two years, I see my roles transitioning seamlessly from technical to business management. I envisage myself gaining strong fundamentals of business management. I will understand theory; do few projects on business proposals; how to do business ethically; sustainable development. I also strive to improve my skills to work in multi-cultural environment. Furthermore, my prime focus will be learning the art of leadership and driving innovation. Best part, I will be implementing all my learning's directly into my present work and fine tuning strategies to ensure optimum results.
In a half decade's time, I would be the role model for people who seek inspiration. Apart from driving profitable businesses, I would be mentoring my colleagues and subordinates, on various aspects of our business management. I would also continue to feed my hunger for social entrepreneurship projects. As of now, I feel that I have limited knowledge and resources to help poor and unskilled people. I have faith in myself that I will overcome my weakness and achieve every ambition of my life.
An excellent network for mutual benefit is very important to convert my dreams into reality. And it is my pleasure to have friends who know me for a long time through thick and thin. I wish to further boost my networking where people with good intention share their experiences, extend their support and enjoy the mutual benefit. One of the sources of such quality people can be ensured when intellectuals meet at one common place, with common goal i.e. Executive MBA class of xxxx.
With proper research, I reach to a conclusion that an xxxx's executive MBA will empower me to carry out business with minimized uncertainty and increased predictability. This particular course is going to challenge me and groom me into new Avatar. Finally, I see myself transforming into best "Product" available to my organisation and people.
