Princeton Supplement

What are your thoughts on true love? Why do you want to apply to Princeton?

I was fifteen and my heart was araced. I saw her walk past me, past me like a hurricane, a soft breeze, as past as a dinosaur. My heart roared, I wanted more. Her tinkly smell wesn't enough. My training as a poet has led me to appreciate the finer things in life, so I barely noticed her liquid eyes or her tangent smile. What caught my eye, like a pair of shades, was the shadow left by her collar bone, her tiny freckles, the hint of a bra strap, taking a peek into the glorious world around. And round my head went- I was speechless, my jaw hung wide open, hung like Saddam, hung like a horse's manhood. Or horsehood. I knew it right then, she was my one true love . She was like the internet to me- everywhere, all knowing, all powerful and full of nasty/lovely things. Princeton is the perfect place for me, with its engaging faculty and star studded resource, it is he perfect opportunity for me to grow as an indivisual.

Undergraduate / My Father's story "essay on someone who made impact on me" [6]

remember: its never fun when you say something and then say the same thing again in detail.

My father's story revealed the rough life he had live and failures he had been through.

once you mention that, the reader knows whats coming...he/she can skip a couple of lines without missing a thing.

give it more weight, make it an unknown adventure- like how it was for you, slowly finding out about his life.

Ooh la la!

Undergraduate / Girls, Girls, Girls- Common Short Essay [21]

This is for a bunch of colleges with the general prompt:

Elaborate on your extracurricular activities, hobbies or work experiences.
(Max- 250 words)

Girls, girls girls. There, I said it, okay? I don't care how it sounds, I'm gonna be honest. I'm obsessed with them. My life doesn't revolve around them, my thoughts don't revolve around them, I revolve around them. And that "I,"my friend, is italicised to the fullest- yah, its so slanted its almost horizontal. Its a sleeping I. A sleeping I, okay?

No, I don't see them as objects. I'm the object! Yes, I respect them. I respect everything about them. I'm so crazy about them, I can't even pay attention to what they say. A girl comes up to me and goes "Hey there, whats up?"

I'll hear- "Girl girl, girlgirl?"
You know, I'de simply copy and paste girl 249 times (not 250 times cuz like, I had to write it once first, right? and then if I pasted it 249 times I'de get 250 words. Smart, huh?) but copy-pasting so many times is damn painful. I mean, you have to hold Ctrl with your pinky and viciously punch V so many times...Its like finger-murder, okay?

I met my first girl when I was thirteen. She was reading a magazine and I was trying to read what her t-shirt said. I was having difficulty, the text was warped. And I mean, mega warped, like those lame PowerPoint text effects. It was almost like it was written on spheres or something. I did the best I could,

"milK AND COOkies" it read. I looked up after deciphering the writing. She was glaring straight at me.
Her mouth opened, and she said something. And what she said, changed how I saw girls forever. She went,
"Girl girl girlgirlgirl, girlgirl pervert!

Undergraduate / Girls, Girls, Girls- Common Short Essay [21]

Thanks, I'll consider. I have an ultra-serious main essay and a lot of intellectually fertile supplements to back up my seriousness, I'm just worried about the Admissions Officer-hope he/she isnt a feminist.

and OHMIGOSH!! comments from girls :D

Undergraduate / My interest in Bio- short essay [7]

BU Supplement short essay

My reported Major is Biology

Discuss, in brief, your interest in your intended major. How has this subject affected your life?

Age: ten
Location: Playground
She was ready to attack me; attack me with her words. After a long forboady silence, she finally spoke-
"BOYS SUCK"
The first blow in the horrid battle of girls versus boys. I quickly recovered. I spoke confidently,
"Uhh...really? Why do you say that?"
Feeling it wasn't strong enough, I added aggressively- "Huh?"
"Being a boy is the worst thing that could happen to you. If you're a boy, you have to be in horrible, horrible pain."

"What do you mean?" I questioned. Afraid my curiousity was out there, I quickly zipped my pants up.
"When you're older..."
dramatic silence
"You'll be in horrible pain..."
even more dramatic silence
"Every-single-month..."
alright, now its getting melodramatic
"Right after you shave, and put on aftershave!"
I was stunned. I was defenseless. I scanned my mind for something to use against her- What could I tell her that proves being a girl is worse? Nothing, I had nothing.

I came home and attended to my battle wounds. When I felt better, I ransacked my house, looking for evidence. Could there be something more painful than aftershave, that haunts girls every single month?

I found nothing. But wait, what's that?
Naah, just silly looking napkins. No luck.
And that? That book over there? Could it have something? I opened the book to an arbitiririy page. Nothing, just plants. I flipped to another page...and I found exactly what I was looking for.

The Biology book and the answer it carried led me to a world of wonders. I read, amused, amazed and slightly sickened. I have been very very interested in Biology since then. No, let me rephrase- I fell in love with Biology. I'll say it again-

I-Love-Biology, period.
