The Forrest Gump reference is great. In the second supplement, try to discuss what you have to offer for NYUAD. This will just make it a stronger essay.

It would help if you try to structure your essay so that it discusses the theories clearly and then give your thoughts on it.

- How they compare
- How they contrast

I don't want to give you content advice because I am not well read about Noah and Utnapishtim.

In the first essay, try to make a stronger point on why it is so difficult to do your work. Maybe give an example something specific that you really struggle to do. I think this will help the reader have a better connection with you and your writing.

This is a good clear short essay. Make sure you make an emphasis on why you deserve this. You just discuss your families struggles but you didn't make a clear point on why you are deserving. The second part of the question is answered directly at the end of your essay though.

I think with a better introduction, this would be a very good essay for NYU.
