Undergraduate / Boulder Enterance Essay 2- Enriching the University's Diverse Atmosphere [2]

Between 250-500 words, thank you for the help!

As a student at the University of Colorado Boulder I will enrich the universities diverse atmosphere with my leadership, academic success and sense of importance towards worldly knowledge. In all my educational, extracurricular and personal activities I do my best to excel at what I do.

Since I had just started school I have worked hard to maintain a high standard of academic excellence through constant studying and work in school, along with expanding my curriculum through AP and honors classes. I worked hard through out High School so that I may graduate with Honors, which requires me to have above a 3.5 weighted GPA. I have gained leadership experience through both my Scouting and Army JROTC careers. In Scouting I have held both youth and adult leadership positions, as wells as obtaining my Eagle Scout at the age of 15. In my Army JROTC classes I have held several leadership positions, at times commanding up to 40 of my cadet peers. Finally my JROTC and Scouting experiences taught me to be aware of World Events. Every week in JROTC we would spend at least one class learning about current national and world events to better understand and be aware of the world around us.

With my dedication to constantly improving my Academic success, Worldly knowledge and leadership, I believe I make a good fit for the University of Colorado Boulder. I also believe that I will add to the Universities diverse atmosphere while at the same to time, use this atmosphere to have the best college experience possible.

Undergraduate / Boulder Enterance Essay 1- Big moment/ achievement in life [2]

One of the biggest accomplishments in my life so far was when I earned my Eagle Scout. I had been apart of Boy Scouts since I was a Tiger Cub in the first grade. Since then I had worked hard to become a leader and example for my fellow scouts. Boy Scouts and the scouting movement in general, has always been a big part of my life and a cause that has inspired me. Through scouting I have learned great integrity and leadership ability, along with a sense of responsibility and service to my community.

When I finally earned my Eagle Scout in 2011, at the age of 15, it didn't signal the end of my Scouting career, like it does for so many others, but the beginning of my leadership and adult roles in scouting. Since earning my Eagle Scout I have become even more involved in scouting. Just one week after earning my Eagle Scout I went on a 10 day 70 mile Philmont Backpacking trek through Northern New Mexico. While there we built a stretch of trail for the next generation of hikers. I then also took on the Junior Assistant Scoutmaster role within my troop where I acted as an adviser to both the adult and youth leadership in my local boy scout troop. This will lead to me becoming an Adult Assistant Scoutmaster when I turn 18.

Once I became an Eagle Scout it allowed me to get my first job as a Camp Councilor for a boy scout camp. My responsibilities at the summer camp taught me responsibility and dedication along with building on my leadership ability as I advanced in the summer camp's organization. That is why I believe Scouting and more specifically earning my Eagle Scout is my biggest accomplishment so far in my life.

Undergraduate / FIT entrance essay; Advantage of Florida Tech's Melbourne campus location [2]

Florida Tech's location maximizes students' ability to explore careers, gain work experience and conduct research with faculty in their major of interest. How would you take advantage of these opportunities? (250 words max)

Florida Tech's location in Melbourne Florida allows for students who wish to study Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering to distend their opportunities to explore careers and gain work experiences in these fields. Melbourne and the FIT campus is less than an hour away from NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the Patrick and Canaveral Air Force Facilities. These facilities and the other satellite facilities of Lockheed Martin and Boeing makes the East Coast of Central Florida one of the top Aeronautics and Aerospace locations in the nation and the world. Florida Tech is also one of the view schools in the nation to have a flight school on campus, allowing for a more hands on experience for those studying Aeronautics.

I hope to study either Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering at FIT while being apart of FIT's outstanding Army ROTC battalion. I will be able to have hands on experience working with top experts in my field of study as well as having the opportunity to see into the careers of those who work in my field of study. The close proximity of these facilities will also allow for great opportunities for internships and to work with the companies that may look to hire me after earning my degree.

Currently 208 words.

Essays / I need some help with an essay based on a person that I admire [8]

It depends on how long the essay needs to be but you can meet the requirements by describing what a person likes to do.

"Sarah enjoys to play softball with her friend."

"Sarah drives home from school in her small car."

With a verb being in red and a adjective in blue.

Scholarship / Why I want to attend the Air Force Academy? My choice was made long ago [3]

(This is a one page easy on why I wish to attend the Air Force Academy. I know I uploaded it late but I had just found this site, thanks for your help!)

My choice to apply and hopefully attend the Air Force Academy was made long ago when I was just a little boy. I had spent my life moving around and learning military customs with my father, who had made the same choice when he was a teenager to be a career Air Force Officer. The first time I had fully thought of joining the military was when I was just eight years old and my dad took me to see the Thunderbirds for the first time. After they had finished their performance I thought to myself that I wanted to grow up to do that. Since then I have worked hard and continually to improve my leadership, education and military edict with the goal of becoming the best military officer I could be.

Attending the Air Force Academy would allow me one of the best college experiences along with the skills I will use to become a great Air Force Officer. The Academy will build on my skills I learned and live by with the Boy Scout Law and the Army JROTC values of L.D.R.S.H.I.P. In both JROTC and scouting they have the core values of Leadership, Integrity, Loyalty, Selfless Service, Duty, Personal Courage and Respect.

All the service academies have a few things in common including some core values, one of these is Integrity. Integrity is perhaps the most important value to uphold and the academy holds its cadets up to a very high standard of Integrity. This will teach me and my fellow cadets important skills for our military and our non-military life, such as; Courage, Responsibility, Self-Respect and Humility. These basic values will allow us to better serve our country.

We as cadets have a responsibility to become the best military officers possible because as Air Force Officers we will be expected to put service before self. To put service before self we will need to learn to follow rules, respect others, control our anger and have religious tolerance of all religions. These values will set us apart as role models for not only other military members but for the community as well. Being these role models will also require us to perform tasks at the best of our abilities.

To truly be the best military officer I could be I will also strive to seek excellence in both my professional and personal life. I will work to excel personally and within my community, just as I was taught growing up in Scouting and JROTC. Being a great Air Force Officer will mean I am a role model for both my co-workers and in my community as well. Since I was a boy I have dreamed of serving my country through the Air Force, attending the Academy in the Fall of 2014 will allow me to build on the skills I have gained to become the best Air Force Officer I can be.
