Respected Sir/ Ma'am,
Aspiring to be a doctor is similar to running a biscuit race-it requires precision, patience, resilience, and the ability to apply learned techniques over time.My name is Swagata Paul, and I am applying for the One-Tier Master's Programme in Medicine to pursue my lifelong ambition of becoming a doctor. In this motivation letter, I will explain why this program is suitable and a perfect fit for me.
From a young age, I have nurtured the dream of becoming a doctor. Although life initially led me down a different path, my determination has only grown stronger. After high school, I appeared for the Medical Entrance Examination and obtained a decent score, but it wasn't enough to secure a government-sponsored seat. Disheartened but undeterred, I explored other avenues and secured an All India Rank of 279 in the AIIMS BSN Examination, earning admission to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for a BSN Degree. While proud to join such a prestigious institution, my aspiration to pursue medicine remained unwavering.
My mother's struggle with endometriosis deeply inspired me to pursue medical research. Witnessing her pain motivated me to explore solutions for understanding and treating this condition, fueling my passion to serve as both a caregiver and a researcher in medical science.
But my journey into medicine began early; at the age of three, I was diagnosed with pyogenic meningitis. Thanks to timely medical intervention, I fully recovered. This life-changing experience inspired me to one day join the medical fraternity and serve others. The COVID-19 pandemic further solidified my resolve. It revealed the critical need for qualified and dedicated medical professionals. Additionally, my geographical location faces persistent challenges from vector-borne diseases like dengue and malaria, which claim numerous lives annually. In 2024 alone, these outbreaks resulted in over 100 deaths in my community. These experiences fuel my commitment to address public health challenges through innovative research and preventive measures.
Hungary's renowned medical education system inspires me to pursue my studies there. Hungarian universities are globally recognized for their research-driven approach, distinguished faculty, and international exposure. The country's groundbreaking development of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine highlights its excellence in medical innovation. This aligns perfectly with my aspiration to delve into medical research, particularly in endometriosis and vector-borne diseases.
I'm ready to face challenges studying abroad, including language, climate, and culture. Coming from a multicultural country like India, I'm confident in my adaptability. The Hungarian language lessons will help me further to integrate easily.
With my strong conviction of becoming a competent doctor to let success find me, I am looking forward to receiving this Scholarship.
Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
