Dear Admissions Committee,
I am excited to apply to the Master of Science in Embedded Systems Design program at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. With a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electronics, from DHA Suffa University, and over two years of professional experience as a software developer, I intend to advance my academic and professional career in embedded systems through this program. Due to advances in technology, embedded systems have become a valuable part in automating a lot of daily tasks and easing a lot of challenging tasks. I am particularly drawn to its applications in the automotive and medical industry, such as driving assistance systems, safety monitoring features, health monitoring devices, fitness trackers and many more.

I am drawn to your program for its in-depth and practical coursework, especially the focus on real-time systems, IoT, and advanced microcontrollers, and the professional growth it offers. These are areas I'm passionate about and where I want to build a solid foundation. Moreover, courses like Mechatronics and Safety and Reliability will improve my impact on this industry. My goal to achieve mastery in this industry, contribute to advancements in industries like healthcare and automotive, where embedded systems can have a transformative impact.

During my bachelor's degree, I developed a keen interest in programming and did well in the programming courses. I was introduced to embedded systems through coursework and previous Arduino programming workshops. The first project that stroked my interest in the field was a smart home solution developed by senior students to control the lights and the cooling of a room. I was fascinated by the applications that could be built with basic components and when I began to write programs for basic LED blinking and sensors on an Arduino simulator, I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue. After completing my bachelor's degree, I worked as an Electronics Engineer and a Firmware Engineer where I improved my skills in this industry.

My experiences in developing embedded systems during my professional career, especially in applications involving industrial monitoring, IoT, and data acquisition, perfectly align with the course content and goals of the Embedded Systems Design program. I have experience programming microcontrollers such as the ESP32, STM32 and more, interfacing various sensors with peripherals such as GPIO, I2C, SPI, and UART, and working with network protocols like TCP/IP, MQTT, and HTTP. Moreover, I have developed monitoring solutions to monitor the states and cycles of industrial machinery to monitor its efficiency. I have also developed environmental monitors for monitoring air quality, water level in a barrage and weather monitors. I also researched operational industrial machines for product development which has given me a lot of experience designing solutions for industrial purposes. Furthermore, completing basic projects and independent coursework has developed my proficiency with real-time operating systems.

Thank you for considering my application to the Master of Science in Embedded Systems Design program at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. I would fit well in this program based on my educational and professional background. I am confident that my drive to succeed, adaptability, and thorough mindset will ensure I can produce the very best results.

Sincerely,
Sabeeh Mumtaz Alam

I am excited to apply

Please do not be excited to apply. It removes the professionalism of your presentation and makes the intent seem very amateur.

Due to advances in ... fitness trackers and many more.

This is supposed to be the focused motivational statement. Yet you produced a generic, directionless, and irrelevant motivation presentation. Focus on a single academic path that you wish you pursue in relation to your target professional goal upon your return to the workplace.

These are areas I'm passionate about

Why? Give a workplace reason that fueled this passion. Without justification, you will not convince the reviewer.

will improve my impact on this industry.

What is the biggest professional goal then? What impact do you want to leave? These are all intention that you know the reviewer wants to hear about, but you cannot really justify.

@Holt
Hi. Thank you for your feedback. I need help with pinpointing exactly what academic path I wish to take. I know I want to work with embedded systems of different kinds in the future, but I am not sure what specific areas to specialize are available and how could I pick and choose one.
Thanks again
