To Whom it May Concern:
My name is XXX, I have been admitted to the program D.E.S.S. en arts, création et technologies at Université de Montréal. Further to this, here you will find all the information detailing my plan to study in Canada.
As a student who self-taught English and French, Canada offers me an exceptional opportunity to consolidate my English and French skills, and is also well known for its education system and multicultural society. I chose this program because I consider myself a person who continues exploring the fusion of art and science. Montreal, which is capturing the attention of the art and technology worlds, provides me with first-hand trends in the art and technology industry. Furthermore, the University of Montreal, located in the city centre, offers an opportunity to experience its cultural activities.
Studying art, creation and technology at the University of Montreal is an exciting goal for me to learn various fusions of art and technology. As a junior event coordinator who worked in the art and exhibition industry for about two years, my daily works focus on the recruitment of performer and screening soundtracks for events. I felt I had reached a career bottleneck in this industry as all my current skills are focused on traditional music instruments. This predicament impelled me to continue my education by learning new skills which could further my career in China. Therefore, this program perfectly fulfils my requirements through its practical courses in art and technology.
I used to take similar courses at my previous university, but the educational resources were outdated and obscure. Furthermore, through plenty of research on different programs in China, I realized that the fusion of music, visual art and technology has not yet become a mature industry in my country. Consequently, I would not be able to get hands-on experience, for example, a high-quality internship, in a mature art and technology industry.
Under China's rapid expansion of the traditional culture fad, the cultural industry is seeking an innovative way to present the conventional elements, for example, folk music. Applying the study outcomes that I learned from this program to the emerging market in China by integrating the traditional features and latest technologies will make me stand out from the crowd. Furthermore, regarding the high reputation of the University of Montreal in the cultural industry in China, I will gain an impressive resume profile through my study at the university. I can not wait to return to apply my study outcome to work after completing my study in Canada.
Apart from the above reason, as my parents already own a business in the cultural industry in China, contributing my study outcome to assist them with an innovative vision can maximize the benefit of my own family.
Last but not least, as a student who took professional training in Chinese instrument performance for over ten years, I studied at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music from 2016 to 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China. Broadening my skills in the fusion of traditional art and technology is urgent and can benefit my family and me. I am very grateful that you have spent your time reading my study plan, and I hope you can help me move one step closer to my dream by accepting my application.
