My network essay for chevening scholarship

Networking is a powerful tool for business people and professionals knowing more people give you greater access and facilities the sharing of information.
Since network power depends on how strong your relationship is, on how much attention you command when you engage people in your network and how attractive you are as a member of other people's network so, I do my best to develop my network and communication skills since I began my professional career life. I started at 2010 when I engaged in a communication skills development workshop accredited by Dale Carnegie institution and sponsored by FGF and I continue developing by reading books and practicing.

I made a very good long last relationship in my university and all places I had worked in which results in a very good number of friends and relationships despite the differences between us in gender, religion, mentality, culture, and attitudes. As an example of this I used to attend an English course where I made a relationship with my foreign teachers and I'm networking with some of them till now even they are in a different countries and we are socializing and negotiating about books and other things, by the way, one of them is helping me in Chevening application.

Because influencing people is easier than influence strangers so, I do care to strengthen my relationship with my colleagues as I accept the diversity of us, I listen effectively, try to raise stress of new colleagues, try to be impeccable with my words and I avoid gossiping all the time. All of these things help me be a senior physicist after 3 years and I was able to train over 30 persons all of them are friends to me even who left the job they call me and ask me in some techniques and also negotiate about new discovers and techniques in our field also due to the good network I hired with two of my friends in Kasr El Einy Hospitals two years ago to establish, train and start PET/CT exams in the oncology department and then they nominate me and other colleagues to attend the African oncology conference in Zambia in 2017 but they chose him only .

In my last course (Six Sigma green belt) I had a good relationship with the instructor and two of my course colleagues where I was able to convince them to make a six sigma project and we already started it in Air Liquide Gas Company in Egypt and we proceeding in it under supervision of our black belt instructor.

Finally I believe that we don't build business, you build people and then people will build the business so that good relationship and trust with my friends will help me to achieve my future goal as I want to teach quality and diffuse the idea of six sigma concept all over Egypt as I will start with nearby friends that will help me to reach my target as soon as possible.

Ahmed, what makes this essay weak is that you are referring to how you develop networks in non profession related instances. All of these networks serve you a purpose outside of the workplace. However, the Chevening essay requires you to showcase your professional network based upon your career progression. That means you have to refer to seminars and training attended that led to your promotion or additional responsibility at work. This in turn should have led you to need the help of the people in related fields whom you met through social settings.

These social settings are of a professional nature as you are expected to highlight how you have an exchange of information, solutions, or simply assisting one another during professional needs. The idea is to show Chevening that you have a useful network that could be an useful to other members of the community who may choose to call upon you for help in related fields should you become a scholar.

Remember, the scholarship asks you to explain why this network is relevant to your application and of what help or importance these will be to the Chevening community in case you are added to the roster of students. Your essay doesn't meet any of the actual prompt requirements at this point so you are right to start writing a new essay. I hope I am not too late to guide the development of your new essay.

I really have a problem with writing this essay and sometimes I feel depressed but I'll try again to write new one and hope you are here to revise the new one :)

I can definitely relate to your feelings about writing these essays. Initially I had moments of "ups and downs" and wondered if I should even bother, but I really want to achieve my goals and so I have to keep the end goal in mind. So I want to encourage you to keep your head up, think positive, you can do it once you put your mind to it. This is a good place to receive constructive feedback. Keep trying. One day at a time. One step at a time. Keep working at those essays.
