Outline why you have selected your chosen three university courses,
and explain how this relates to your future plans.
My Bachelor is accounting, it background that supports my professional experiences and would like to pursue it for my master degree. The common factors that led to my choice of the below three universities courses are that their degree programs work in any industry and are internationally diverse. Their programs are uniquely positioned and designed to educate a new generation of leaders for the profession, capable of solving problems than ever before.
Accounting has been my desired field to specialize in since undergraduate school. Hence, I have chosen MACC in Accounting at Cambridge University to be my first choice. In relation to my professional experiences, this has thought me to perform financial functions related to the collection, accuracy, recording, analysis and presentation of a business or company.
Matched supporting documentation (Goods Received Note, Purchase Order, Purchase Request, Bid Analysis, etc.) to vendor invoices, recalculated for mathematical accuracy, reviewed for proper account and grant coding and, when ready, process payment. Prepared national staff payroll and prepared bank reconciliation at end of the month.
The second program I have chosen is MSc in Human Resource Management at Manchester University. In relation to my experiences thought me recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers. Also handled employee's relations, payroll, benefits and training. Performance Appraisals, to motivate the employees and let them bring improvements in their activity.
My third choice has been MSc in Computer Science at Oxford University.
Computer Science played a very important role working as an accountant and HR because the Spreadsheet programs are much faster, more accurate, and easier to use than traditional accounting techniques. The programs are widely used on personal computers for keeping sales, expense and inventory records, and for budgeting and forecasting future sales and expenses. In relation to HR, the HRIS system maintains data base of all employees, payroll, time, attendance and benefit management.
Current studies will also help to promote the global interests of UK development assistance to Liberia towards Health Care, through Liberia's Health Pool fund; as well as infrastructure development, coordinated through the Liberia infrastructure Trust. The UK government is also involved through varying private sectors players at the level of Mount Coffee Hydro and Roberts International Airport; the two strategic infrastructural projects key to redirecting the Liberian economy. Therefore, through my career as an accountant, my goal is to develop systems of control to ensure that donor's funding is accounted for and reach its target beneficiaries.
