Financial need situations that should be taken into consideration -What do they want?

That is one of the essay prompts for a scholarship. I have no idea what I should talk about or how to word my essay. Can anyone help.? Should I just talk about how much money my parents make or how my parents will not pay for my college?

How about mention that you want to be independent not putting any additional financial pressure to your parents. They already done their parts to raise you with a big ambitious.

On top of that,managing your own budget is also a form of education in life that will definite beneficial for your bright future.

You have an opportunity here to express a clear plan. You can tell them the reason you need the help is because you have a very well-developed plan, complete with goals and self-imposed deadlines. Do you know what I mean? Show that you are going to make very good use of the help. Show that you have a great vision of the future and that you have a very clear idea about what you want to accomplish.

Talk about your plans for your life in college, how you're going to contribute to your own education, as well as outlining the exact degree of financial need you possess. Also, any chance you have to pull on their heartstrings is bonus points ;)
