I am intending to do my postgraduate studies in Construction Management/Construction Project Management in one of these three universities: Robert Gordon University, Coventry University and Reading University. The reason to select these Universities is that all of these have appealing ongoing research in construction Project management, good prestige in U.K and pertinent availability of resources. I personally feel that I can satisfactorily meet the requirement of these. Through websites I visited University lab, checked admission requirement and specifically ongoing research which commensurate to my current research and recent experience foster my interest to finalize these institutes for higher education.

I strongly feel that my relevant experience, online course pertaining to project management, software skills which I took, in subsequence to sound knowledge of B.Sc. Civil Engineering will considerably facilitate me to conduct research and meet demands of the intended course. It is considered imperative to mention the reasons that, why I want to study this particular program abroad and how master in construction project management is essential for me. Firstly, my senior year research project was also in the domain of Construction Project Management which attracted my attention and hindsight. Secondly, working as a Planning Engineer at New Islamabad Airport project with...... I have been involved in the project control team of highly experience and qualification. Dissolving schedule delay issues practically, generating different claims as per contracts, monitoring project progress and performance instigated me to pursue this specific course.

During this period, I realized that Pakistan construction industry is still using obsolete project control techniques resulting in delay of almost every mega project along with manifold losses. Meager investment in research coup with lack resources and advancement not satisfying the demand of the construction industry. There is scarcity of professional with specified knowledge of Construction project management as only one university in Pakistan is offering specialization. So master education from renowned institute with pragmatic experience of construction industry utilizing advance technique would provide me the sufficient knowledge, experience to solve the schedule delay issue as I am currently researching on this topic in collaboration with Lewis Toms (Mott MacDonald P.M). Eventually, continuing my current research and above-mentioned factors in mind Chevening Scholarship is the best opportunity to actualize my postgraduate study in a developed country in the desired program.

That means you have to present each university in a separate paragraph, then you need to provide the official name of the specific course that you will be enrolling in (if it varies from the other 2 titles that you indicated), what made you interested in this program in this university (e.g. mentoring program, internship, the chance to do research based upon the problems of your country, etc.), and what qualifications you have gained professionally that will ensure your success in this program. Do not discuss it in general terms as you have done so now. You cannot collectively discuss the universities, its offerings, and your qualifications because each university has a specific set of student expectations just as you have varying expectations for the university curriculum as well.

The reviewer needs to know that you have done accurate and thorough research on the university offerings and that you know what you are getting into once you are accepted into the program. Each university has a unique educational offering that you can benefit from. Look for those differences, highlight that in the paragraph for that university, then explain why it will help you become a better construction manager once you return to your home country based upon your professional experiences or college background.

Firstly, Construction Management course at Coventry is purely Industry focused and have flexibility for group and individual research project. A Global professional development module in C.M at Coventry in collaboration with CMI (Charted management institute) for practical leadership and for complex problem solution is enthralling thing to explore there. Secondly, I have an admission offer of University of West of England Bristol, master in Construction Project Management. This course is associated with frequent site visit, field work and attracted my attention as one can utilize the material and data from the home country in the dissertation, compares it with host country and can enrich the learning there. So master education from this institute with pragmatic experience of construction industry utilizing advance technique would provide me the sufficient knowledge, experience to solve the schedule delay issue as I am currently researching on this topic in collaboration with Lewis Toms (Mott MacDonald P.M).
