Hello, this is my last essay required to apply for the KGSP.
I had some troubles with this one even though I thought it was going to be the easiest,so I would really appreciate some feedback on this!
Future plan in Korea or another country after study in Korea
Upon completion of my studies in Korea I plan to stay in Korea in order to take the Korean medical licensing examination. This would be my first step towards my next goal, which is to do my residency in Korea. I would like to spend my years as a resident in the hospital of the university where I graduated from, to learn first hand how to become a specialist in the field from the very same people who taught me during my master 's years to implement what I learnt during that time.
Even after my residency is over I do not plan to stop studying or researching, as it is something that I aspire to do for my whole life. I in fact plan to do a PhD once my residency will be over. I would like my research to be a joint work with the psychiatry department, in order to study how a combined approach between psychiatrists and plastic surgeons could be useful in the cure of pathologies such as body dysmorphic disorder. This would also be a way for me to contribute to the University where I studied as I would like to do my PhD there as well.
Because I always thought that one of the most important things that we can do as professionals is to contribute in the development of the future medical class, I would like to work in a university hospital at the end of my PhD. Being an extremely curious person I do not only tend to always learn new things, but I also enjoy passing the knowledge to other people as I believe that one can have a gain by knowing something only by spreading it to others. From this belief originates my ambition to teach to medical students what I've learnt in the past and what I will be learning in the future. I would like to remain in Korea also during this time as it would mean a lot to me to have the possibility to train the future medical class of a country that helped me so much in becoming the kind of doctor and of person that I aspired to be.
