Personal statement:
There are so many points that have made me influenced for applying in Korean government scholarship program. At first Korean academic environment is highly competitive and I believe competition can enhance a students enthusiasm to work hard acquire a good result. Secondly I like the harmony between modernity and culture. Moreover, it also can be said that a rich culture can develope a person's mind and grow leadership. For numerous years I've had an ardent desire to learn more about Korea. This is why I constantly research about the Korean culture, economy, technology and entertainment. I met some Korean people in my country, they egarly shared their culture with me and my friends. At that time I came to realize how much I wanted to experience the true Korea that I've only seen through the eyes of other people. One of the best advantage of this scholarship is that I will be learning most recent updates and discovered information in the field of technology and so that I can compete with the best students in the world whether in the research field or working field.
All of desire of overcoming and success where born form the example of my family gave me. I was born in a family which has not so strong in the economic fronts; nevertheless, I lead a happy life with my family ( my family comprises of my parents and myself). My parents couldn't continue their higher education because of their families economic difficulties. This is why they wants me to study as much as I want and become a successful person in my life. My parents are my first role model. They are my great supporters and assistance in my life and my decision. They always encouraged me from the beginning of my life till this moment. My parents always says that we may not inherit you huge resources, luxurious and comforts of my life but the few things that we are able to handover to you is our family valuable culture and traditions. Our outlook of like can show you the path to human being. Driven by this kinds of motivation I always try to bring joy to the face of my parents by putting my best efforts to any task that my parents expect me to fulfill. Studying in South Korea as a scholarship holder is not only a financial assistance, is an opportunity that will allow me to have a global vision of my environment and the chance of teaching others about my country and promote Korea.
Throughout my life I have been attending four different schools in four different cities. As a reason I learn a lot of things such as how to adapt with new environment and communicate with new people and new culture. Going through the primary school , secondary school and college since grade 1 to 12 , I have always been a top rank student in the class, I meant most are top 2. My college made me a man adaptable to many situations in life, a person with values comprehensive, responsible solidary and someone who never gives up.
I've also served as a volunteer of child society named "Fulkuri". Along with this society I organized and participate many seminar for child rights. I also volunteered for raising awareness about Human rights, Animal abuse and collect fund for disaster victims. One of the most significant experience I had in Rohingya camp. Due to the security restrictions I couldn't volunteer there officially but one of my cousin volunteer there for a long time and I get some chance to help him. I did my best to communicate and become friends with them. It was the most inspiring experience and learned important things like to be responsible, to be patient and new ways of struggling.
My success and excellence was not only in academic field. I could also make great achievement for myself and for my school in co-curricular activities. I formed Milestone college debate club, social service club , photography club. We had won the "Runners up " trophy for our outstanding work. I also participated in lot of activities such as social service, international photo exhibition and English Olympiad.
With experience gotten from studying in South Korea, I would be able to identify business opportunity between both countries. I believe that by learning the Korean language diligently and applying my engineering knowledge to the booming manufacturing industry that South Korea has, I can become a great aid in improving the relationship between the countries.
Allowing me this opportunity is a decision that the South Korea Government will not regret. I submit this opportunity with the hope of bringing new challenges into my life and to hopefully one day to what engineers do: conceive important in humanity.
