Hi Everyone! This is my first post and would really appreciate to get some feedbacks. It would be nice if you can let me know where I can elaborate more on and if there's anything confusing..ect..Thank you!

The prompt is (Limit to 7,000 Characters):
1. Briefly outline your proposed project to promote the Scholarship and international education. How will this project impact your home university or home community? What are your project goals?

2. What is your target population and how will your project impact this group?
3. How will you integrate the impact of your experiences abroad into your project?
4. What, if any, campus departments, student organizations, and/or community organizations will you collaborate with in promoting the Scholarship and international education? Have you already made contact with these groups?

In my adolescent years, I gravitated towards various community activities. I played and coached softball and tutored younger students in between my school days. My goal has always been to get students and younger kids involved so they don't settle for other not so healthy activities and unsafe environment. Throughout my years, I believe to have been a positive role model to those students. In college, I was compelled to do the same thing as well, to be a great role model for others. I have been involved with the college campus in such a way that I've become a resource to everyone especially to the different ethnicity students. When I was a Collegiate Fellow, it was made clear that part of my responsibility was to help my residents in every way possible. That, I found was pretty simple because I believe I have always been passionate about helping others. In doing so, I would hope to give back by inspiring others to take this life changing opportunity to study abroad. Two ways I plan to do this is by first, sharing my story with XXX Marketing and Communication department and second, is word of mouth.

This pervious January, I had dedicated my time interning at XXX Marketing and Communication department and learn various marketing strategies. I believe that this is the perfect place to start. I've read numerous intriguing stories of XXX Alumna who has made an impact on campus or else where. These stories are use to promote to parents, prospective students and keep students on campus updated. After going abroad, I plan to share my studying abroad experience with the department. I believe that if I share my story, I will be able to reach an enormous crowd and be able to educate them about the endless opportunities to studying abroad.

During my internship in the Marketing and Communication department, I have spoke many times to my team about my excitement to study abroad. I know that they will be supportive of my project because this will also help them as well. Some ideas that I want to highlight are first, my experience abroad and my learning experience. How it changed my perspectives and me as an individual. Next I want to emphasize the support I received to going abroad. I want to show my peers that studying abroad is life changing and rewarding all at the same time. The best part is that, they're never alone because there are so many great organizations such as this to help support them.

I have learned through my management and communication classes that word of mouth has been essentially effective. Throughout my years at XXX I've been invited to speak about various topics consist of educating students about a class project, talking to prospective students about my college experience thus far, and talking to minority students about great opportunities out there for first generation college students. I have become a creditable source because I have done all of them. After studying abroad, I want to continue to converse with students about my experience. I want to encourage my peers to heighten their involvement with the campus and expand their knowledge abroad. I believe that from my pervious work on campus I have grown to be a creditable source for others.

I plan to speak to different student organizations such as the Hmong Culture Club, Chinese Club, Swedish House, and Crossroads, which is consist of students who are interested in reaching out to other cultures. In addition, I want to also speak in one of my communication course call Intercultural Communication. This class focus on the culture shock and the returning shock once someone goes abroad and comes back. When I took this class, we had five panels that came to talk to us about their experiences. This class really encouraged me to study abroad because after hearing their experiences I could sit in my seat because I was so excited. I hope to be sitting in on of those chairs telling my own stories some day. (3926 Characters)

Here are some of my suggestions.

My goal has always been to get students and younger kids involved so they don't settle for other not so healthy activities and unsafe environment. Throughout my years, I believe to have been a positive role model to those students.

During those years, I have been working on getting them involved in sports and school because I wanted to make a positive impact on them and keep them away from bad influences. [I'm unsure what you're trying to tell here. Is it getting them involved in sports or school?]

My passion for helping other also grew more as I continued my education in college. I have actively involved with the college campus as a Collegiate Fellow. You should go into a bit details of how you involve with your college campus. The last two sentences aren't quite clear especially you're jumping from talking about being a Collegiate Fellow and then suddenly going straight to studying abroad.

You should reorganize your ideas and thoughts again because it's quite confusing here.
