The benefits of NYU students going to a gy !

Hello Guys! ^_^

In fact I am in a real trouble ,, I have to write an academic wirtting about why should NYU students go to a gym ?

And I have no idea how to start or even what to do !!

Please help me

The worst thing is that I have to write the strongest answer to that question as my thesis statement ,, and sure the strongest answer should say the benefits of going to a gym ,, and the body paragraph should has for each paragraph a proper topic sentence and it should have been supported !!

Maybe you could start by brainstorming the benefits of going to a gym that you want to put in your essay (ex. to maintain physical well-being, to relieve stress, etc)

Then you can tie NYU into the ideas that you like most. Try looking through NYU publications (brochures, website) for ideas. Take notes on the various aspects of life at NYU that could be incorporated into your essay.

With these resources in your hand, you can form your thesis statement and begin outlining your essay.

maybe you could compare going to the gym to an NYU education...like you hope to become a well-rounded active contributing citizen or something like that.

Outlines definitely help I would start there if I were you.

This is not as bad as it seems! One essay = one big idea.

The big idea can be a clever observation. What is the school motto? Can you write something about the school motto and the need for fitness?

List 3 reasons students at this school should go to a gym, and TURN EACH REASON INTO A TOPIC SENTENCE. For each reason, write the rest of a paragraph.

Go back and write an intro paragraph with a last sentence that mentions the three reasons.

Go to the end of the essay and write a conclusion paragraph that is interesting and thoughtful.
